He was pretty good in 2021. Kicked 4 in the final against Geelong. Since then it's been an utter disaster and it's mostly his fault.

Never got on the ground for Essendon but we still took him, glad the experiment is over.
Like with booting Bassett, it's hard to justify delisting Fantasia when we're loading games into McEntee who is like 10 times worse at football.
Probably biggest fumble of a trade for his cost we've ever had.

Suprised he couldnt get 1 more year. Judging by our recruiting strategy we are clearly going all in on a premiership. He's the type of player that has x factor and i could see him having a stewie dew like 5 mins in a final.
Papers were well and truly stamped when we selected a guy who ended up kicking 0 goals across both finals as a stay at home small forward.
If you're not making a team over that guy, you've already cleaned out your locker.

Is he actually delisted yet? Feel like Port should hold him to a rookie deal (can we?) rather than let him go to GWS for free.

We needed to save on medical bills to pay Jordy for another couple of years on the back of Hinkley's extension.
What a farce! Reported that he has not been offered a new contract ... then that GWS were sniffing around .... then that it was a DONE DEAL ... then {crickets}!
Seems to me like it was all just games played by his manager. The truth is probably in the middle somewhere, more along the lines of he hasnt been offered a senior contract, only a rookie contract, and his manager was trying to drum up a better deal elsewhere.

There's lots wrong about everything Fantasia and Port. From overpaying at the start, through Fantasia having the muscle tone of a 12 year old girl with an eating disorder (which both him and our sub-par fitness staff should share the blame with) and finish with his non-selection, when he actually had a rare run of games not injured, left aside for McEntee.
I'd like to say at least we learnt that dealing with Essendon is never worth it, but given we swapped BZT for Duursma and a half-eaten moldy sandwich, you can't even say that.

Fantasia was optimistic that a position was available after his exit interview. That may have changed when we decided to bring in 4 traded players after only cutting two primary listed players and two rookie listed players (not including Barkla). With Duursma now gone and the likely delistings of Lycett and Hayes we have enough list spots for the national and rookie drafts without delisting Fantasia.
I have a feeling we might tell Fanta we will redraft him with our last live pick in the ND.
That might be why there is no announcement because we can't be 100% sure he gets to us.
We aren't getting better or less risky at pick 100..

I would use our last rookie pick unless some gems fall through.
Problem is we need to pick someone with pick 100 and it may as well be a mature age we only have to give one year to.

The trade period probably fell in Fantasia’s favour and he’ll get another 1 year deal. As Enviable Tradition said, possibly we’ll look to re-select him in the national draft.
I’d be checking in on how his off-season fitness plan is tracking before signing that contract though.

If we want him, we just need to sign him. He hasn't been delisted yet. It's tricky because we need a fit Fantasia but he's rarely able to take the park.
Yeah but we might delist him just so he can be one of our 3 compulsory ND picks
