AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
People are well within their rights to lament that a one of our best young talents was for all intents and purposes taken from us without adequate compensation.
You’re welcome to your opinion but this is an open forum so that means you’ll need to deal with it when others express theirs rather than just telling them to shut up.

I thought we were friends
It all started after ANZAC Day, 2022 when he went from Jack Ginnivan, a rookie called out by Kane Cornes to Jack Ginnivan the ducking cheat.Commentators were pointing out his treatment long before he left Collingwood.
Spot on.In the scheme of things. GWS loss bobby hill to us cheaply. We lost Henry. Bobby won us a flag.
Swings and roundabouts
Swings and roundabouts. It'd be nice to see him kicking goals for us, but it's also nice to hang shit on him about being a mummy's boy.I want him back, and I want him back now
Mitchell was out the door at Hawthorn from the middle of the year, probably by the start. Said himself he didn't feel welcome. Link to Collingwood was quite early on in the piece.Mitchell was always coming to Collingwood. It didn’t hinge on the Henry trade at all.
Henry was worth a top 15 pick. Geelong bent us over trading their 2023 1st.
Swings and roundabouts I guess. We got pretty much zip for Henry, but we did get a Norm Smith medalist and Bobby Hill for nothing also. Billy Frampton goes alright too for depth and McStay was a FA. And a flag.Mitchell was out the door at Hawthorn from the middle of the year, probably by the start. Said himself he didn't feel welcome. Link to Collingwood was quite early on in the piece.
However, we did have to sort out the finer details and that's the complicating matter. I remember some on here wanting to hang on to every second pick and every first but still land players. You have to make sacrifices. And in doing so, it can lead to a flag.
Henry was worth what the market would pay and unfortunately in the player-dominated trade market, he could sook as much as he wanted and picked out the club. In my books, that has to stop. In the end we had the last laugh in September. The over-analysis of a trade period that won us a flag is amusing to say the least.
Yep, Henry was worth more, but the carry on about the difference between pick 15 and pick 25 is ridiculous. The value difference between those picks isn't that great, other than in our heads.Mitchell was out the door at Hawthorn from the middle of the year, probably by the start. As a defender, Frampton is far more than depth. He’s been named as one of our best on two weeks in a row. Would challenge Murphy if he keeps his form up.Swings and roundabouts I guess. Although we could have been talking about the Premier's 2023 1st round pick (probably projected to be between 15-18), which was actually top 10.Yep, Henry was worth more, but the carry on about the difference between pick 15 and pick 25 is ridiculous. The value difference between those picks isn't that great, other than in our heads.
wouldn't mind betting the media OUTRAGE will soon result in the Ginni rule being completely over-turnedexactly this ..was just about to write the same thing
just as the media pile on created the narrative - which the umps responded to - for Ginni NEVER to get a free at the pies
likewise they will (and are) now re-setting the narrative for him in a hawks jumper ..it will take a couple weeks but it will turn for him
perhaps even next week...
I think he is an absolute certainty to get a forward 50 free on Sunday. But, if we bring a high pressure game it won’t make any difference to the result.wouldn't mind betting the media OUTRAGE will soon result in the Ginni rule being completely over-turned
you know, now it's not disadvantaging the team wearing BLACK n WHITE stripes!
as you were ...

As a recipient myself from time to time, I will give you the benefit of the doubt. But, if North do get up, we are ALL taking the pissIn a dream I had this week the Roos beat the Lions, just. Would be nice.
