Yes at the 9.30 mark
He also mentions at the 4.50 mark that Hugh McCluggage has had "an unbelievable preseason" and a bit later "coming after Lachie pretty heavily i think".
I hope he is right as we do need a few players to improve no matter how good they were in 2019.
I am guessing here but sounded like Birchall, Witherden & McInerney are in his best 22.
A good listen and only goes for 12 minutes.
Hugh looked incredible against Port. He is a genuine superstar in the making. Also impressed by Berry's pre season.
Try this one. https://audioboom.com/channels/3237839.rss
I don't think I've ever seen anyone play as well as Clug in the first quarter against the Dogs in Ballarat.Hugh looked incredible against Port. He is a genuine superstar in the making. Also impressed by Berry's pre season.

If the gods had been on our side 3 or 4 years ago, our defensive fortress would have been HA, Dizzy and Justin Clarke. Dizzy n Clarke locking down fwds, HA roaming, intercepting. That would have been something. I was gutted when Clarke had to retire.I'm wondering whether his knee issue had something to do with that . I seem to remember him being a much better kick at the Dogs ,a couple of long goals.
Wouldn't you love Mal Michael back. Harris and Mal , you could build a fortress around that
I agree, he has a lot to learn in the half back role and is definately not ready to hold down a starting spot. He has however been brought in to play that role. Unfortunately i think he will be learning it off the bench in the firsts and not in the neafl. I expect a lot of positional errors from him while learning but his versatility to add a bit of flair or speed on the wing or hf might justify a bench spot. I do hope he is a quick learner.Genuine question for all those that think Ah Chee should be named in the round one side.
Why?
He was horrible in the practice match against Port and there were countless examples throughout that game alone where guys like Motlop left him in their wake and other defenders were having to provide cover, which then exposed their man.
Personally, I feel as though he is being named based on his high draft pick because you couldn't seriously select him unless he dramatically improves.

Do you reckon there is a bit of Gary Keane about Dan McStay?https://www.google.com.au/amp/s/amp...-good-fit-at-lions-brown-20200306-p547fd.html
Here’s Jonathan Brown saying exactly what many of us have been saying for a while now. While Brownie concedes that McStay “might develop” on the available evidence and given his issues with accuracy, that seems unlikely. We have to look for an alternative to McStay this season and then possibly find a longer term solution at the trade table. I agree with Brown in terms of the need to play Oscar in the forward line and would like to see him named at Full Forward. The more I think of it, the more I like the idea of retaining McStay in the seniors, but as a half back. In time I think McStay has the makings of a great CHB. A backline built around Andrews, Gardiner and McStay could be formidable.
Was always hoping that Hippy’s body would develop enough to be able to play that role, similar to Rory Lobb.Pre-injury Daniher would most likely improve our forward line. No issue with that statement.
Preferably he could chop out in the ruck and we could drop Oscar and McStay and have a more mobile forward setup.
Yes. Good call. I do think Dan is more athletic and he is quicker than Keane, but his ability to spoil is more valuable in defence than it is in the forward line for mine. I actually watched Fitzroy’s stirring win the 1986 Elimination Final yesterday and Gary Keane was a brick wall roaming high in the backline in that frenetic last quarter. Another Koroit boy by the way.Do you reckon there is a bit of Gary Keane about Dan McStay?
Same #25 if I’m not mistaken too.

But let’s face it, it ain’t gonna happen.
As a forward, without doubt.Hes better than Lobb.
