Not wanting to be cotroversial but why would you leave O&M snr footy at that age and go to the O&K.....Might have to agree with you JB.......What's the RUMOURED amount???
Not sure how true this is so dont get worked up J.B I heard 3000 sign on fee, 600 a game including coaching roll..

Slim if we are going to start listening to rumours, Milawa is not the only one people are talking about, I have heard a fair bit of talk from over your way! Couple of blokes on over $400 a game and a certain new recruit being lured to the Panthers den with the promise to finish of the renovastions he has started on his house FOR FREE! I have been to this fellas house before slim and this reno is not going to be a small one!Perception is reality GO, so if we believe it then its true, good for sledging purposes....

Daws to Maggies, BK. How do you think he'll go? Big loss along with Sessions, James and Pickering.
Also, any news on Ace Clark? He seems to be retiring every year but sticks around.
And how's Finton Eames travelling? He'll be like a new recruit for you guys.

Pliz, if that's true and I have no idea though I doubt it, we would deserve all the shit that gets thrown at us because it goes against everything we have tried to achieve and I would be finding another club to call home.

The cracks will probably start appear within that time JB, unless they have some departures, as more big recruits come in its more kids that will struggle to get a snr gig and become disillusioned .....What's happening out your way, been pretty quiet. Anything of note that you are allowed to share at this point...

It's hard to say how Daws or Sesho will go TGN. If both put in a decent pre-season they should be able to have an impact. Good luck to them, Mick has always encouraged blokes to have a crack at a higher standard.
Yeah those four are big losses - four out of our top five goal kickers, but clubs lose players each year. We'll try to replace them as best we can and look to some of the two's boys to step up.
Not sure about Ace. As you said, he retires at the end of every year so we'll just have to wait or see. Although he is relocating over to Yarra, so that might be a factor is his decision.
Frankie is traveling along OK at this stage. There has been a few minor issues with his wound but it shouldn't really set him back. Think he is keen to be right for round one, but I don't think the club will be wanting to rush him back due to the severity of the injury. I'd expect him to be gradually eased back into it.
I see in Saturday's Border Mail Tatong were advertising for players for next season, do they have any $$$ to get anyone of any real ability to sign up? How many games will the ex BDFL club's win this year against the existing O and K sides?

It's going to be a tough ask for these new clubs and I think they will find out it's not all about the money....They will just have to be patient and earn some respect and it will happen for them.

Good point Slim. Did you guys have $'s when you started in the O&K?
I think the new teams will find it tough like the All Blacks did in the first couple of seasons. But you blokes should be there or thereabouts next season...

Found out pretty early TGN that people have to WANT to come to your club, if there is any doubt in their minds then they just wont come, unless you go buying footy prostitutes which kill your club.......
I did think the package we threw at "GUNS" that was worth $000"s would have been enough to lure him away from Greta, but hey that's loyalty for ya.
