Good hit out for Bright & Whorouly this weekend with the winner earning the week off, and I dont think either side will be looking forward to playing Tarra who have hit some good form and I beleive are the dark horse for the flag.

Next week I think that the valley will knock out last years premiers and progress to week 2.

Interesting to see if Bright win the flag, how many players will head back to Myrt to give it another crack.

Brent Green playing in the 2's in the finals?

how are north wang travelling with coaching??
What's the info on some of Benalla all blacks stars going to B&D?? to start devenish up ??

No stars at All Blacks mate, think you've been had.
Wally Armstrong's 250th senior game for Blacks this week, fair effort for a bloke who averages 7 games a season.

What's the news on coaches at BAB's?
any applicates yet, what about the King , could he be the next to have a crack at getting the blacks going??

Current Rutherglen coach Scott Thomsom mentioned on Tallangatta League thread to be coaching Moyhu next year, Not sure of the validity of the source but that's what was suggested.

It has suddenly gone all quiet in Pantherland?! Keeping any coaching prospects close for fear of scaring them off??

Heard Hickey was in the mix earlier but turned the position down - rumoured possibility to replace Benalla Saints coach in GV now...

Are the Blacks far away from signing anyone?

What influence would this have on the Moyhu footy club if true?

They have a reasonable senior side but lack depth with a struggling reserves side and no thirds - would this bring about an influx of players; and possibly gain that thirds side they have been trying so hard to get?

Blacks may be miles off attracting a coach, with several in the O&k looking , plus options available at Benalla saints 1's & 2's as well as possible changes in B&D .....

Saints players waiting on senior coach appointment rumoured to be ex Benalla star Tim Symes ,Andrew Knowles and Pasqualiy are another names mentioned . Blacks have spoken to a number of people with little success at this stage by all reports . Names that have been thrown around from left field Steve Hickey ,Goeff Hanrahan , Richard Bull , Ben Wapling , Phil Christie (Reserves this season) , Brad Frampton , Les Gilcriste , Darby Morrison & Travis Hubble. All are just rumoured to have been or going to be spoken to .Not the most sought after job in the coaching world .

Probly not the most sought after but I reckon it could be one of the most rewarding if some can round up 1/2 a dozen new senior players to add to their list. Notice you left the KING off the list off prospective coaches or is the Devenish 08 rumour true.

went along to watch the tarra vs moyhu game. Tarra, very disappointing. Normally a good running side but just looked tired and slow all day. Moyhu will come at whorouly now with a physical game plan in mind they have a great record against them in finals. Did anyone catch the bright v whorouly game. Any news?

Lucien Deane-Johns bagged 9 including 5 in the 3rd as Bright put the foot down.

Bright 2's got up on Sunday to set up a prelim against Tarra.
Brent Green returned to the side as a valuable contributor

Whorouly will have to deal with Moyhu who have had the wood over them and could feel the pinch.

Could there be a double Hopper in the Ovens this year?

Hey Guys from the Mountains !!!! How is or has bright gone this year? I remember when a player by the name of Mark Ricky played down there and he brought his mate down for a couple of games? Are those blokes still playing at Bright? He was from Melbourne I think? Are they still there?

Also how are the Mighty Mountain Men doing this year ?? Go Bright !!! :thumbsu::D

The O&K really benefitted from the exodus at Myrtleford. The guys at Bright Deane-Johns, Nightingale, Jones, Cavedon have bought some class and poise to the side, along with Matt Kelly from Wang, they really do show the what your time at the O&M does, especially dropping back a few cogs to the O&K.

Bright will do well with the week off, and even their 2's are a chance this week.

Look forward to the GF next week.

Big turnarounds from last year, with both senior teams performing well and a massive increase in numbers.

Yeah, but where are your thirds?? All good and well to have got yourselves a possible premiership with O&M players but have you got the juniors coming through to help keep the club at the top?

Bright have under16s and under14 in the wang and district junior league grand finals so id say they have a fair few juniors comming through. And one thing to remember in blokes like kelly, jones,Nightingale all are born and bread.

rovers, maggies and myrtleford. word on the street is that a group of the bright U16 boys are pulling on the brown and gold for Wang Rovers next year!!!!

O&K are sending a letter to every top age player in the wang and benalla junior league asking them to come and play 3rds next year apparently 100 odd kids in wang alone. Obviously a fair whack will end up in the O&M/GV and also loose a few elsewhere but they seem to think they can nab 30-40 kids this way. The idea is to start get moyhu and glenrowan teams first, then top up the others as need be. All the other clubs including bright, king valley and greta seem to think at this stage they will have the numbers to support their own teams!
