From a Greta point of view it's not too bad travel wise... The boys play away from the main group only four times. Three of those are within 30min of the main group. Tarra instead of Moyhu, Benalla instead of Swanpool, Glenrowan instead of Goorambat. The last one sucks a bit... The boys play Milawa at Moyhu when the main group is an hour away at Tatong.

The balance of games is not great. We meet Glenrowan, Milawa & Tarra 3 times. Bright, Doon & Blacks twice. King Valley, Lions & Hawks only once.

Having said that it's better to have a bad balance rather than heaps of games away from the main group.

Pretty tough gig the 3rds draw, glad thats Sandy's department! Just had a look...
Moyhu - Tatong is approx 40km and still within your 30min time bracket :thumbsu:

i reckon that has to do with the current playing numbers; Glenrowan milawa and tarra have reported poor numbers (greta didnt record many either) rather than playing bright doon and blacks who have recorded up to twice as many players. I think sandy has done a great job to keep everyone pretty close to their senior side.

Greta played their final practice match tonight in Benalla, played against tallygaroopna(?)
had about 2/3 of their senior side play. Was a good match and the blues moved the ball pretty well in the first half when their more experienced/senior guys were playing. A couple of their kids who have played 30-40 games played really well and the side looked pretty good. Margin was about 6 or 7 goals in the end in the blues favour< would have been more if the players were not rotated to give some reserves players some game time.

Couldn't read the score when I went past NBM but I thought you guys did well to back up after Saturday, assuming that some of them would have played.......dare I ask, did you know who play ?, I saw a glow over the ground but didn't know if it was from him or the lights...

Will answer my own question:

Millawa (Alot of sides have recruited well but i think they will be a step above)

Blacks (Hard to pick ressies, i think with 8 teams making finals it may make for more "genuine" 2's sides come september)

Nth Wang (Herd they have good numbers and a few good kids out of the juniors)

no 'you know who' was asked not to play as the umpires were informed by the burley manufacturer that they were experiencing a shortage of footballs after the games on saturday where the great man took some huge pack marks in the square, a newfooty was required after each time GUNS got his hands on it.:D:D

One can only be in awe of the great man.:):):) Rd 13 (10th July) will be our first chance to see him action this year. Seems like an eternity away.......

Rest easy Slim. I heard ONE HD are going to be launching a new 10hr weekly show, with all GUNS highlights from the weekend's game.
Admittedly a game only goes for under 2hrs, but they will be showing all the stuff GUNS does in his spare time; jumping over buildings, bench-pressing buses etc...
Heard the title will be "Year Of GUNS".

There b&f winner from last year was one of them and he reckons he will be good to go all be it no maybe not 100% fit.......

Im hearing there perminate list consists of numbers significantly south of 40 blokes trott, i feel for the buggers but it will be a long year.

I think doon at doon will be a hard slog for anyone this year.
