Slim - full credit goes to the Valley Boys I think. They really gave us a shake. They tackled, harrassed and worked very hard. We turned the ball over constantly and really stuggled to get the ball to our forwards in an effective fashion.

We didn't look like winning until late in the last quarter, when; I think, our midfield got on top. Putting Ben Craven into the center late in the last qtr was a master stroke if you ask me. :thumbsu::thumbsu:
I am with you on that RB, I think the midfield struggled all day along with the forwards! Craven in the midfield? I didnt think he played that well, he isnt anywhere near where he was last year! Cant take nothing away from the Valley though, dont think it will be long before they get a win!

This weekend should spread the log jam out a bit with the top 6 and bottom 4 sides up against each other. Conversly it could become worse...... Anyone got odds on the G/rowan-Whor game resulting in a draw.
Yeah I dont now slim I think Glenrowan might give whorouly a bit of a touch up.

Is Craven likely to play onball against Tarra this week RB? As you would think the Tarra onballers might be to quick etc for him? Plus they must kick a winning score

they "struggled" because of the pressure and harrassment from the KV midfield and backs. The onballers pushed back to help out and the KV forwards held marks and converted. They are a lot closer than people think. Really only been blown out of the water by whorouly and a bad day against blacks. They pushed glenrowan, moyhu and greta, all apparently finals sides!

Im thinking this weekend will be a round of upsets. i reckon the valley will get up over bright having the same side as last weekend

I can't see this happening. While KV have plenty of quality players such as Rea, Gabe O'Brien, Hunter, Patterson, Wyllie and maybe a few others - they still lack a lot of depth. Bright still have a good side and have decent players across the field so I'd expect them to win. Although it wouldn't shock me if your prediction was correct.

Agree with you BK, having seen them both in recent weeks I think KV will push them but not get over them
