Around the club we often refer to ourselves as the Dogs. Nicknames also feature in newspaper articles and as nonch has pointed out, it would make it difficult when the two Bulldogs face each other as each club will have to be referred to only as their town name. Maybe Tarra should now be known as Blue Dogs, and Bonnie Doon as Red Dogs

Perhaps if its wet there could be the Dirty Dogs or maybe if the game is one sided the losing team could be the Lost Dogs, Tarra could be the Wild Dogs should they beat you. Wodda ya reckon BK. :D:D:D

Well once upon a time Tarra would've been known as the Dirty Dogs! And since losing the granny we are no longer the hunted, so I guess we could also now be known as Hunting Dogs :D Hmmm, this could go on forever...

Until someone comes up with something better, I think I'll be going with these if that's okay with you BK...

Picola League - Yarroweyah and Rennie Grasshoppers - before Rennie left the Hume league, they also clashed with Walla Grasshoppers.
Technically yes under the Banner Picola League but they play different divisions Rennie are in the South, Yarra in the North, I rekon that the Top eight system is great and you will find that it will be prety competative when the Picola leage had that we noticed that anyone in the top bracket had there chance on their day and it was an exciting finals series. Im sure that the o&K will have a great year.

Bonnie Doon will wear the predominant white guernsey in their clash with Tarra. Similar to the one the Western Bulldogs have as their clash jumper.

Well that'll confuse the shit out of Nonch, he'd just settled for red and blue. Gees Nonch how do you handle the stress mate.....:p:p:p

I was of the understanding the league didn’t want clubs having a clash/alternate strip........
I can't see why the league would oppose a clash/alternate strip. I reckon we've needed one for years, mainly for when we come up against Bright but in the event that we did get one, I couldn't see why we couldn't wear it for away games. I'll support any club willing to take this step...

which clubs have recruited well at the moment. I have heard someone from whorouly has gone to tatong is that true
the bats started training last week and had 20 odd there, not sure about quality or if they have any recruits. Benalla seem to have been recruiting well, Picko, Webby, and a few others if the rumours are true. Have heard a few whispers about Greta's recruits, they seem to have recruited well. Any news on bright and Whorouly?

I was in correctly informed on the above. They are going to remain as the Dogs but will wear a predominant Red Guernsey with White and a dogs emblem on there somewhere. Not sure how this will stack up against Tarra's.

Bomber Williamson is a good pick up for Milawa, an ideal replacement for Sims.

Wouldn't be surprised if Sims came out of "retirement" and was nursed through the season, or at least the latter half.
