It was because he had only played 8 or 9 senior games, if you play over a certain amount then you have to play in that team.

The rule in the O&K is that if you play more than 6 senior games you have to play at least 3 reserve matches to qualify to play in the reserves as long as you haven't played more than 7 senior games. From memory!!!!

Talking about ovens and Murray, what an absolute balls up having the preliminary finals being held next door at the Showgrounds the same time as our grand final, surely they would've made it a night fixture??

Prelim is on Sunday mate.

Fact. How he could show up and look the other blokes in the eye is beyond me. If u crack the sads and dont want to play dont turn up. Cost BD a grand final appearance. In my opinion.
Absolutely putrid form by Colliss.I will be conservative and say hes been paid over $5000 a season over the past 2 seasons (so $10000 or more in total) and then repays that by pulling out?I only hope Afl Vic can do something such as deny a clearance to next club unless an agreed cash amount is repaid to Doon.
Also expect his next club is told well in advance of type of bloke they will be dealing with.

Aside from the money factor, he obviously has no loyalty to his club or team mates what so ever. Its definitely a selfish move as he could have definitely made an impact to the game and possibly gotten Bonnie Doon over the line and into their first o&k granny. I don't think he will be going back next year and I wouldn't want him back either if I was in their team or apart of their club/committee.

I find this absolutely bizarre that any senior player let alone the captain of the club could act in this manner. Is there any chance he might have been injured??

There is a full 5 minute video by Daniel Godsmark on the Bonnie Doon Facebook page published at 10pm Sunday night.
I'll save you the time - it says:
  • volunteers are great
  • players are great
  • netballers are great
  • supporters are great
  • families are great
  • we are disappointed
  • we'll be back next year
  • Yadda, yadda, yadda
Noting at all about dummy spits.

I think Godsmark would be smart enough not to mention this so called 'dummy spit' on social media. I would say that Bonnie Doon and any other clubs that have any proper form of sophistication would be handling it via the committee, leadership group and coaches towards the player face to face - not publicly humiliating them on Facebook.

There is one on a private players page about Collis by Godsmark.
Godsmark was pretty classy about it. As much as he must of been dirty he didn't pot him at all.

Is it his brother in law? That Clarke the ruckman missed in the prelim
Kieran McMillan - played every home and away game in seniors then got dropped to reserves for semi final. Before the semi Godsy was a bit worried that it might cause a rift, but he had to pick his best side.

is it just me or are Tarra being a bit cocky about the game this weekend? I've ran into 4 Tarra people in the last few days and they've all said they're gonna flog Glenrowan wet or dry and basically have said they have it in the bag?? Coke bottle glasses on or? I have no problems with people being confident but I wouldnt be saying that sort of stuff as it could bite you on the arse.

Now Jason every team that goes into a grand final is confident that they can win as you guys are at Glenrowan! The best team will win on the day!!!

I think you have me confused there! I'm not jason mcphail if that's who you are implying that I am? I think he goes under the other 15 aliases on here lol.

Also if you read my post correctly, I said I have no problem with people being confident heading into games as such, but there's a difference between being confident and cocky.

Only added it on as it posted before I had a chance to write it and before anyone else replied to it. Sorry to offend your Tarra friends.

Fair to say anything you have said on here is probably made up by yourself. Main reason I haven't posted for a while now is the dribble you go on with. Don't think any Tarra player would be saying they going to flog Glenrowan. Will be a very tough contest. I think you would find that Tarra people actually may think the opposite and think things will have to go very well to compete with Glenrowan. But feel free to keep writing your stuff. People saying your talking dribble hasn't stopped you so far!
