Heard that Corowa/Rutherglen will have a lot of players return home now that Peter Tossol is back. Players so far are Ryan & Al Mackenzie, Glen Joyce, Marcus Osborne, Matthew Mills, Marc Harrop, Craig Taft and Ricky Symes.

Looks like it could be the year for the Roos in '08'

Thats great news for the Roos if that happens. A proud club that will never stay down for long. If all those players mentioned come back the Roos will be a genuine contender!

hi guys i've been following this thread for quite some time and thought i would get on board as this is an interesting time of year of coming & goings around all the clubs. Have a keen interest in the Wodonga teams so can anyone report on possible list changes? heard there could be a large amount on the way out for both sides.

I guess since Whale Nugent has left the league then Matt Mills returning would be the logical fat guy replacement

I thought I would throw a curly one in there. I spoke to him the other day and the only pre season he will be putting in is drinking plenty of grog over Christmas time.

I wonder if Henneman will return to his home club with the signing on of Toss???? Knowing Toss he will get 110% out of his charges, so with the young guys the club already has plus a few extras it will be very interesting.

What's the word around Yarra at the moment? Will Hargreaves stick around? I heard that there has been some offers from over at Barooga that could be to good to refuse.

It is the start of the silly season so I look forward to the comings and goings.

At this point in time I think both Haz and Joycey will be at Shepp again next year.

Not if Wang get a couple of Diamond Valley boys they are chasing - one of whom is a good mate of Boof's.

what DV players are these if u dont mind elaborating AE, i think carmody would only play the highest level he can...he's not one to drop back to coach...he wants another flag.....

Throw those boys into the mix with all the junior boys developed this year, as well as raines and ryan....very promising...

ill say taft, symes and ryan mackenzie are the only ones who will cause any doubt in opposition team minds...osborne told old when he left 2 yrs ago, from all reports mills=fat, al mackenzie solid but never a star...and im unsure about harrop...

Milawa,Greta,Nth Wang or Moyhu

You can cross Nth Wang out, Rovers 3rds coach from this year Gary O'Keefe has accepted the Snr job out there. A great catch for the Hawks as 'Ocka' has a habit of changing the fortunes of struggling teams. Watch for a few of his proteges from the Rovers to possibly follow him out.

Osborne is still a good player and his hardness at the ball is what causes the other teams the head aches and he has only been gone for a year. Al Mackenzie was playing really good football in the back line and held down some bigger and stronger full forwards when playing and was still only a kid. Mills is not coming back as he has had 2 knee re constructions. Taft is an absolute gun just ask Timba and some other gun forwards in the league. Symes has shown that he was the best full forward running around in the O&M when he was playing. Give him a full pre season under his belt and he could kick a few bags. And Harrop won't be making the trek back as stated in my previous post as he is settled in Shep and has just built a house over there... but never say never.

Plus add in maybe Aaron Henneman plus keep their young blokes and they will climb the ladder.Plus Tossel always gets the best out of blokes.

Two players from current DVFL/NFL premiers. Dual premiership captain/tough centreman and a key position/utility player.

Ricky symes is no chance his cousin or brother something like that is coaching benella, Ryan Macca is staying in perth loves it there and ozzi is a definate to go to wahgunhya , As for henno he is studying to be a police officer and is staying down there for another year but the story goes 2009 is when he returns you heard it first here, Mat mills is to fat , Taft is nearly a definent starter though he was toss love child and would still brain them in O&M, Harrop is no chance. That is all i have got and its all 99.995% true over and out:D

The captain/tough centreman would be Blair Harvey who I think is a cousin of Brent (not 100% sure)... not a bad footballer. Played very well in this years grand final. The key position/utility player could be anyone of about 10 blokes!

You were obviously at the game HTL - the other player is Marcus Dean - CHF/Ruckman. Around 6ft 5 and very mobile.
