Yeah was told he started the match kicked a couple of goals early and got injured in the first quarter

You've been given a bum steer - Allan didn't kick any goals ...

Conjecture remains.
Did he play one quarter and get injured?
Did he play deep forward for most of the day?
Was he even at the ground?

Some sides need to seriously look at merger opportunities, Milawa are even battling for numbers, the league needs to be more progressive or will become extinct before they know it. I’ve thrown my hat in to the ring with basically no support. Clubs are becoming too selfish.

Anyone who is too proud to look 2,3 or 4 years ahead could miss the boat. Act now or regret it in years to come. Numbers available to clubs aren’t going to get better anytime soon.

Country footy is going to undergo some massive in the next few years. Few clubs and leagues will be immune.

The vast majority of clubs and leagues will need to adapt to change in order to survive. Many clubs will need to consider mergers and others will need to change competitions.

What we saw in 2019 may look totally alien to how it looks in 2029.

Spot on Fruit, well said, I believe some of these clubs are digging their own graves.

Milawa & Tarra are about to get a dose of what it’s like to struggle, they can’t stay at the top forever and unfortunately for Milawa they didn’t really get much out of it as far as premierships go.

Who is going to win this week
Who cares, it’s going to be the worst final series we’ve seen in history. Predicting low crowds to be honest. Benalla barely have any supporters, Milawa just got beaten by a bottom side on the eve. Bonnie doon and Goorambat will have ten people watching. Sad times.

Milawa have only won one more premiership than North Wangaratta in the past decade, no one remembers who came second. I think a few teams got a bit ahead of themselves and may find they have a winless finals campaign.

The Upper Murray league will not exist next year, O&M twos sides are forfeiting matches, the TDFL comp only had a handful of U/17s sides participate. The O&K is on life support, they need to restructure or risk dissolving, Glenrowan can be revitalised by amalgamating with NW, Milawa and King Valley need to merge. Brights about the only club that will survive alone. The O&M twos need to scrap their twos comp to free up players, they can replace it with a women’s comp which will grow over time.

Why would north Wang want to merge with a club that now doesn't exist that would be going backwards
Just makes no sense

NW turned the opportunity of a life time just to get pumped by 300 points every week and not win a game for five years. Glenrowan still have more supporters than them, if they joined forces it would triple their support base, and bring in people who can help them.

I think that the afl victoria must start to look the zones a bit better in the Wang junior comp bright /myrtleford have to go to mancefield that's crazy for 80mins of footy nily 4.5hrs travel there the things that are killing juniors
With the seniors in the onk they need to start making relationships with the under 17s coming through the Wang junior league if they arnt allready
Those clubs close to Wang shouldn't winge about not having players if there not doing that I would say

You look at a club like NW, 5 minutes from the Wangaratta CBD and they couldn’t scrape a side together for 7 years, that’s just pathetic. The club was mismanaged and is still paying for it.

How about this for a talking point
North Wang
Milawa
Dederang
Beechworth
Bright
Yackandandah
Greta
Tarra
Moyhu
King Valley
All local to one another
That's if they can all still be financially healthy

The issue is that some of the Tallangatta League Teams have juniors and some don’t.
I think mergers are the answer. I know it’s not popular with everyone but the number of kids coming through to senior level is worse than ever and I can see a time very soon that clubs will go into recess or fold completely.
