Quality Rochester players James Brain & Luke Gestier to corowa by all reports.

Has already been confirmed in the local rag those two players you have mentioned.
Heard young Morey from BB Saints has signed at North Albury. Not sure were he will fit in the foward line?
Good news from the Rovers picking up a few big bodied AFL players.

Division 1 club in Essendon League looking for a CHB - playing assistant coach.

Great remuneration for the right person.

Club has recruited extremely well and is looking at playing finals in 2014.

* would suit someone moving to Melbourne
PM me for details

James Mulligan and Jarrad Boumann have gone to Wangaratta Rovers ...... do clubs ever do their homework to enquire about their character and ability or just because they have been on an AFL list they must be "GUN RECRUITS" !!!!!

Unfortunately both will be duds and players of very poor character.

This is a comment for a very educated football watcher and couldnt agree more! Both will be average players and offer the club nothing. A massive step back for this footy club

Yes, have heard the same about these 2 players.... surely these 2 must realise their time is up come their reputations, and If they want to play at top country footy level , receiving good pay, they will need to change their attitudes and commitments as a whole..... if this happens, then they will become important players for the Rovers

You've got to love keyboard warriors..
It'd be great if a few of the flogs posting on here would name themselves so the rest of us could critique their efforts next season.

What's all the news on the recruiting front? Looks like Corowa are active, haven't heard much about Myrtleford, North or Wang Maggies... Will be a race between the usual 3 again I suppose?? Albury, Yarra and Lavi?

I'm sure there will be some player movements over the next few months. Only early days..

Raiders having a serious look at bringing Tim Brook back from Canberra, I'm sure a few Nth Albury boys will be looking forward to that encounter. P.S. Congrats to Myrtleford on being forward thinking enough to rebrand their club. Some old diehards might not like it but change is inevitable or its off to the O and K for the Sainters. Maybe an annual Queens Birthday game at Beechworth or Whorouly will help supporters from other townships get behind the major Alpine club from the O and K region.:thumbsu:

What have they changed their name to?

Myrtleford, well Alpine Saints now, have signed Christian Burgess. Local boy who played in Willy's VFL Development League flag. Played Rd 1 against hoppers last year and was BOG. I wonder if the saints are a chance to get guys like Hugh Wales (Werribee VFL) and Frazer Dale (Delisted Carlton) back. Both would be very handy and would put the saints back in the mix of the chasing pack (teams outside the top 3).

With Wodonga recruiting well, raiders picking up a few as well as Corowa - both will be more competitive - the Hoppers, Maggies, Saints will struggle you would think to stay in touch with the top 5 or stay off the bottom if they don't pick up a few and maintain majority of their lists.

Will be very interesting to see which clubs have a serious crack at recruiting and sign some big names and which clubs focus on developing what they have and continue to build for the next few years.

Early days but based on things so far I would rate the teams for arguments sake as;
Yarra, Lavy, Albury top 3
Rovers and Bulldogs rounding out the 5
North Albury
Maggies and Saints
Raiders and Corowa still a touch behind
