I feel like the pressure would've lifted off Fox a bit after her Kayak win. She already won gold in the canoe in Tokyo so hopefully she goes into this with nothing to lose.

They stopped making it compulsory for men after 2012 because they found it doesn't prevent concussions.
Women still have to wear it though.
