Took me a long time but finally reconciled my end of Day 13 medals table vs medals handed out table.

Adjustments in Day 13 was the following;

Canoe men's and women's K-4 500m handed out 2 x 4 medals per placing
Canoe men's C-2 500m handed out 2 x 2 medals per placing
Sailing Mixed Dinghy and Mix Multi-hull handed out 2 x 2 medals per placing

Men's Hockey Netherlands 17 Golds, Germany 18 Silvers, India 16 Bronzes

India didn't play either of its 2 reserves like the other 2 did. Reserve players only get a medal if they play a game.

Notes for day 11 - Wrestling like all combat sports give out 2 bronze medals. 3 events so 3 extra bronze medals.
Taekwondo 2 events 2 extra bronze medals

Boxing men's 51kg and women's 54kg classes only Gold and Silver awarded day 13 and bronzes in day 10.
Boxing 2 x bronzes handed out for each of in Men's 57kg and women 75 kg but no golds and silvers.
Morocco won bronze in men's football, the gold medal match is on Day 14 (Fra v Spa)

To the left is national medal count, to the right is medal count to individuals for that nation.

With out doing full reconciliation of multiple medallists, 30+% nations athletes have won a medal is highlighted in yellow, have won medals as highlighted in yellow, 20+% nations is highlighted in orange and light blue ids for 10% nations.

In light blue are the nations that 10+% of a nations athletes are taking home a medal with teams of at least 100 athletes. I will also add how many teams in team sports countries have and how many athletes those teams supply at some point.

I have started adding more teams data now that every one of 8 team sports is at the Semi Final or later stage. Will try and get them all down by Saturday.

Spain and Germany also still have a lot of teams alive in line for medals.

Netherlands 12 golds only 4 have been won by a single individual. 17 golds handed out for men's hockey to go with rowing medals for quads, fours and pairs, athletics mixed relay, cyling team sprint, and men's 3x3 basketball had 4 members.

At end of day 13 USA had 3 teams in the final, the women's football team, the men's basketball team and women's volleyball team in the final and 2 still alive in the SF's and 2 in the bronze medal match the women's water polo and the men's volleyball team.

France had 6 teams make the final for gold - the rugby team had already won gold and 5 other teams can still win gold.

Athletes who win gold usually do have a physical advantage over their opponents.
Yeah a lot of disingenuous people try that argument, as if gender categories and specific weight classes don't exist for the paramount goal of attaining a "fair fight".

There are obviously going to be complications which arise, and perhaps even compromises need to be made... but to just say "too bad, the best are exceptional" is not a serious engagement of the issue.

What's the issue? The IOC said the gender test was passed didn't it?

If Henri Leconte was here he'd say it was unbulllevvvvableeeeee
I still can’t believe anybody could even think that routine was going to be good, look break dancing shouldn’t be in the Olympics but as it is you can’t send someone who is that bad to compete, an embarrassment after all the good things that have happened so far in these games

Same weight, but she was taller and had longer reach.

It's a common advantage in boxing.
