I think the Crows could find room for him...we need some speed in the outside mid department. As to what he's worth and what we have to offer - the names being bandied about as trade bait from the Crows include Sellar, McKernan, Cook and Young. Like Vezpremi most have potential but don't have much by way of a solid track record on the board so it's really only going to happen if both clubs are willing to take a punt.

would like him at the tigers. straight swap for rance ?

Why does every Richmond supporter keep offering up Rance?

I wouldn't be against this trade we could use further Key position backmen depth especially with Bolton getting on with age and spending the last year out injured, And I rate Rance I think he will be a great player.;

Seemed okay when played this year although hardly managed a game, must have a shithouse attitude. If the Swans/Roos can't get the best out of him we wouldn't have much hope.
He played one game this year, and well he went ok. But he was dropped straight afterwards which was seen as a bit of a harsh call, but the coaches or at least Roos seemed to have a problem with him or his attitude.

There are well known problems with his attitude and his fitness or lack there of. But he lots of talent and I'd rather see him stay but if the right offer comes along I can see the Swans parting ways with him.

He is originally from SA I think so a move home may be in the order although Richmond have shown the most interest according to most people.

What would be his worth?

Im pretty sure he's originally from Melbourne. Played his junior footy for the northern nights with currie and meredith

I honestly don't know how much he would be worth. Has done hardly anything at all since he was drafted for whatever reason so that would lower his currency a fair bit.

Depends how the clubs view him. Probably one of the players that if you get him right is worth more to you than what you would receive in a trade. Can't see many teams giving anymore than pick 40 for him. As I was saying, those attitude rumours/fitness/whatever doesn't make him sound too appealing especially if he's struggled under Roos who's able to get the best out of most players even if they're limited.

I wouldn't say no to Rance either, he could be used as a tall-forward or tall-defender like you said. Could be a handy player, prefer Rance to Tambling to be honest. Key position players are hard to find, especially good ones, I think Rance/Veszpremi swap could work.

He has been rumoured as a swap with Urquart.

Both are talented players of a similiar age that can't cement a spot in the seniors and have facets lacking from their game, so it would appear a fair valuation of Veszpremi.

I wouldn't call Rance a key defender by any means. He's basically Ted Richards - very gutsy 3rd tall defender who can't cope with the premier forwards.

Why would we throw in a pick? Two high draft picks who have shown little at senior level to date

Lets be a bit less biased here.
Tambling has a far greater trade value than veszpremi. He is 23, played over 100 games and had a fantastic season in 09 averaging 22 possessions, while this season was poor it was totally derailed by injury.

While vez has played 11 games in 3 seasons, he is highly talented but has reported attitude and fittness issues.

So lets get real about this a straight swap is in no way fair

I also think that tambling is exactly the kind of player that the swans can turn around. Get him out of melbourne and away from all the pressure of being a high draft pick that hasnt yet succeeded. Give him a role in the team and some confidence by the coaches and he could be another trade success story in my opinion.

Lol thank god for some sense. While Tambling is certainly not living up to pick 4 he has been serviceble over the years and was awesome in 09 finishing top 3 in our b&f. Comparing to Vezpremi and saying they have shown the same is ridiculous. In saying that it seems Tambling is on the move and I think Vezpremi is a very talented player who is just not liking it at Sydney. Played with Cotch at the Knights too..

Tambling for Vez and a pick would make me happy. A straight swap for Rance would be out of the question.

Vez has kicked 4 in a game before...has obvious talent.

In terms of draft picks, what exactly do you think Tambling's trade value is?

I doubt you'd get a pick under 30 for him

Quality post -anator.

I'm a bit of a Richie fan and I reckon he would excel in Sydney, however I don't want to lose him.

Thursfield has put his hand up to be traded and apparently you guys are interested. Could be a reasonable straight swap. He is a quality stopper at full back or in the back pocket. While he isn't attacking he doesn't waste the footy and apparently he is a quality bloke.

Poetentially, if Pat pulls his finger out, this could be a win for both parties. If you're really after Tambling however I think it will cost you Pat and at least a second rounder.

Honestly I think if we traded him at the end of last year he would have been worth approx pick 10. This year a pick in the high teens to the right club. Put him in the Saints, or Cats line up after a full preseason and he will excel. Massive upgrade on Eddy at half back. He runs and carries brilliantly (when fit) and can deliver.

You are kidding yourself, you wouldn't have got a top 10 pick for him last year and you won't get a top 20 for him this year either. Andrew Lovett went for 16 and whilst St Kilda overpaid (ignoring post trade incidents), he had showed alot more in his career than Tambling.

Whilst Tambling might excel at another club, he might also stay at the same level he has played at Richmond in which case any club picking him up will be cautious and unwilling to risk wasting a high draft pick on him.

That's just my opinion, given he wants out of Tigerland I guess we'll see soon enough

He needs to go to a club who will give point him in the right direction, give him some discipline and make him live up to his potential.
Frankly though, if Paul Roos couldn't do it, no-one will.
