I used to chat to him a few times after cover gigs.

He was a drummer as well as being a footballer.

A lovely bloke.

Was he number 21?

We used to talk drums a few times.

Talked to him most times after gigs at the Edwards Tavern.

Lol come to think of it most drummers in the cover scene 90s were Tigers supporters.
The bloke from Curse Of The Voodoo Surf Gods,Cam from Grunt now in Rogue Traders and I.
The Castle Hotel ,North Melbourne in the 90s!!!! :))

Alot of AFL players went there lol.

Anyone remember that incident between him and Gary Hocking as Kadina park in the late 90's..Dont think there was much love lossed between these 2

Certainly not the most gifted player, but I remember he had a bit of mongrel about him which endeared him to the fans, however his hair was another was another story

IIRC he made a South Australian State of Origin side too didnt he?

It's funny when you think of our team in the nineties, how we couldn't make the finals yet we could make state squads. If memory serves me, I watched a state game where Bullus, Tape, Daffey played for the crows, and we had Knighter and Campbell(?), playing for Victoria. I thought Bullus was a tryer, but i always preferred Scotty Turner. I laugh when i think of Howat, he looked so uncoordinated, yet was pretty effective. Wigney did look the goods, then stuffed his ankle in Sydney. Why stop at Bullus, how about Laffey. We could have had a line of Daffy, Chaffey and Laffey:D

Add Richo for the Allies too. It's a wonder that we didn't make the finals more often. We made 9th our own though so it's alllll good.

well lets just say this that whatever you suggest here about who the tiges need and who should be in the team, should be immediately burnt and destroyed.
As for the Balwyn tigers, Minty went down there and cap/coached them as well. I think they had Bulluss and Minty in the team and there was another ex tiger playing for them too. ;)

A bit harsh mate. I don't pretend to know what I'm talking about.

David Honeybun any one?
Haha, one of my housemates has the 1991? team poster with Honeybun.

I was a teenager in the 90's so i remember all of these names well with the exception of Twigney. No matter how much anyone tries to job my memory i can not for the life of me remember this bloke!

I know we didnt make too much of an impact in the `90's but all these blokes were my hero's growing up.

I was a kid in the 80's but i dont remember too many of the games from that far back. But i do remember meeting Michael Pickering and Trevor Poole (sp?) at a school footy day. And Maurice Rioli is my all time favourite player (as well as Rich of course).

I think he made his way to Hollywood to star in B grade Tarzan movies. I used to love him and Howet. Great hair the both of them. Looked liked they were extra members of Kings of the Sun!

late teens during bulluss time.
without the agency of the internet and google we picked bull and johnny howat in the same draft. i remember then playing well in the preseason cup. both would play a role in our defence in the mid 90s.

while we're reminiscing, remember tim livingston from box hill? howabout thiessen? i think rex hunt used to go ape shit whenever they went near the ball

Not sure, I can't remember who else was in the band. Actually I think one of the Gale brothers were also in the band.

The band was 'Trial by Video' and Benny Gale played guitar as well (IIRC). I think Alen Jakovich was lead singer??

You can find Paul Bulluss on facebook if you search under 'Athlete'!

I always thought that Mark Merenda would be a good player for us, but didn't really happen. I can't remember what ended up happening to him? Did he go to Freo?

Anyone remember Marc Dragacevic? He played 3 games of cricket with us this year. He made 103, 122 and 150 not out. Needless to say he is a gun. Ripping bloke too. Funny ****er.
Brad Ottens played 5 games fo us as well. Great guy.

He went to WC. His sister was on the Cuz docco.

Bullus, loved the bloke, always gave his all to the Tiges, remember having a beer with him and steve jackson at the cricketers one afternoon (prior to them both going to training). Riverside Inn hotel back in the early 80's was generally the place to catch up with the Tiges after a game at the G on a Saturday. Good memories.....

remember bull well as well as a lot of others mentioned here.
bull was all arms and legs and heart. he played gamely low of skill high on endeavour. bit of a muso as well but just really one of the lads. he played for the tigers which is more than a lot of us. gee they were tough years but when we won how we sung the song. bull sang the song with us once and was quite pickled one night.
