No, because they legitimately hadn't been tested. Payman has. Moreover, I don't see Hanson trying this with any white politicians.

She got re-elected in 2022 so she isn't up for election. Malcolm Roberts is. But I do agree this is a publicity stunt to keep her party relevant. If they don't keep carving out their own space, they'll lose the angry regional vote to the Katters and the angry urban vote to the Libertarians.
Still $$$$ to be received from the AEC for every 1st preference vote though.
Most people around these parts want publicly funded elections. Can't pick and choose which party that gets votes gets the money.

Interesting. I know Gina held a fundraiser for ON previously (looked it up and it was exactly one year ago, to the day!) but I thought she'd held fundraisers for Dutton since then. I figured the LNP was who she was planning to back financially at the next election. But maybe she'll back both the LNP and ON.
