"[Pav] says he's aware of the differences between the definitions of 'reckless' and 'negligent', and says he's offended to be called a 'reckless' player given his outstanding record over 12 years of football. He has never been suspended in 240 games of AFL. Was reported once but was cleared."

Boom. How do you like them apples?!

Gleeson says the distinction between 'reckless' and 'negligent' is clear. If a player realises that he may commit a reportable offence and still goes through with an action, it is reckless. Negligence is breaching the duty of care owed by a player to all other players.

Gleeson also says it's clearly reckless. Says in approaching at speed and raising his forearm and elbow, he should have realised that he may have committed a reportable offence.

not looking like he will get off but by those definitions of reckless he is 100% not reckless.

His intention was never to commit a reportable offense.

His intention was always to spoil, he couldnt get there in time so chose to make him earn the kick like every coach tells them too.
Thus because he never planned to commit anything reportable it is negligent

Edited the quote a bit for comparison. If they find Pav guilty, their decision to let Judd go will only mystify me more.

Good news, moving on to 241 without ever being suspended that has to be getting close to the record?
There's at least 25 in front of him who have never been reported let alone suspended.

John Rantall is the record holder with 336 games without being on report.
Gary Dempsey 329
Barry Round 328
Dick Reynolds 320
Marcus Ashcroft 318
Ben Hart 311
Wayne Shimmelbusch 306

Where do you find this shit? I bet you just make it up.

You have to wonder how many of those old school players would've made it through with no reports if they played with today's 400 camera angles and hyper sensitive MRP.

Great news for Pav. I never doubted for one minute that the AFL system would bring down the right result.

Although eligible, he'll have trouble taking out the Brownlow if Fyfe stays hot.
