I know it was against us, but I was rapt to see him stand up and lift his side to a huge finals win.

A rung below Carey and Franklin IMO but ahead of riewoldt, tredrea and Jon brown, certainly in terms of longevity. Lack of team success has definitely held him back much like Richo but he will get his chance to atone for that over the next couple years. Game of his career last night - the type of performance that has been missing from his illustrious career (through lack of opportunity).

Not sure if Victorian bias or Hawthorn bias, but this is what people mean when they say he is underrated in Victoria. Sure, the media acknowledge that he is obviously a great of the game, but at the same time, rate him below people he is far better than, presumably because they simply haven't watched him week in and week out as we do here in the west. He's still miles ahead of Buddy. Franklin might overhaul him in time, but Pav's career over Buddy's by a fair margin right now. Maybe it's just that Buddy catches the eye more with some of his freakish goals.
