Pearl Jam or Metallica or Nirvana???

This has prob been asked before but,of those who like either or all of these bands, which do you prefer?

I think they are all great(dont like metallica as much) but just curious how many fans of these bands there are on here.

p.s- neither of these 3 are my favourite band and to get this out before someone says another band, i coulda put heaps of different bands here, but i didnt punk so get over it and chose one of these 3.

I own every album of all 3 bands you have featured here (except Metallica's latest, which i refuse to buy)

That said, i find it nonsensical to compare (the band formely known as) Metallica to Pearl Jam or to Nirvana.

Well I am not a huge dedicated fan of any of those bands, but from what I've heard, I'd say Pearl Jam.

It's funny but I have never really rated Pearl Jam as one of my favourite bands but I own all their CD's including quite a few singles and most if not all of their DVD's/Videos.

Nivarna were a great inspiration and gave me confidence in music again in the early 90's.

I've never really gotten into Metallica.

I'm a fan of all three, but I guess if I had to choose I'd go with Metallica. I mean Nirvana were good, but really if it wasn't for Kurt Cobain topping himself they would go down as just another grunge band. Ditto for Pearl Jam, although at least they are still around - but Eddie Vedders voice can really get on my nerves. I really enjoyed Metallica circa: Master of Puppets, but geez I don't know what they were thinking with their last album..... the last 3/4 for that matter.

Hmmmm, actually I may not be a fan of these bands afterall!

PJ are my favourite band ever and Metallica are in my top 2 or 3. Don't like Nirvana at all

Haven't liked much of PJ's since their second album (not that I own any of their stuff). Was into Nirvana in the first half of the 90s. They had been ****ing huge for a while before Kurt topped himself......

I love 80s Metallica, but am definitely not a fan of anything after that......still, they get my vote.

I totally agree, especially in that song "last kiss" that is one of the most appalling songs Ive ever heard, sounds like some geriatric mumbling into a pillow.

Soundgarden undisputed kings of grunge.....but out of the three definately Nirvana.....especially there first album.

if you were to consider alice in chains "grunge" then imo they are infinitely better than soundgarden.preferred cornell's work on temple of the dog than anything he did with soundgarden.
soundgarden were better than nirvana imo but not pearl jam.

Nirvana were nice while they lasted, but ultimately lacking in strength and conviction.

Metallica are businessmen dressed up as metal rockers.
