I have noticed how Effective Pendles Handballs are Espically in Traffice.

He always gets one off to a Player who is by himself or running through and that leads to a Scoring Chance.

Does anyone else notice that?

Interesting because 'e' and 'k' are nowhere near each other on the keyboard

not a bad post considering your lack of use of any english compotentcy in all of that
but hey!
:thumbsu: for trying

lol what a thread. :thumbsu:

Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity from collingwood supporters. :)

Christ! This thread is cursed. I feel like I'm tempting fate by posting in it...

Pendlebury is a good footballer, but I just don't see what the huge fuss is about.
Every time he does he ANYTHING you hear the Mapgpie fans screaming "Well done, Pendles!"

Pendlebury picks up a loose ball and dishes off to a teammate running past: WELL DONE, PENDLES!!
Pendlebury looks up the field, looks sideways, passes the ball 25m inboard: WELL DONE, PENDLES!!
Pendlebury runs towards the interchange bench and receives another standing ovation: WELL DONE, PENDLES!!

Fair enough, Magpie fans are starved for quality midfielders, especially since Buckley stopped playing after 2006, but the Pendlebury-love is a bit over the top, if you ask me. Not that Collingwood are the sort of club to call their youngsters champions or anything.

You must sit near his family or something?

Nonetheless, the kid is pure class, I don't know how you can't "see what the fuss is about". He is like a young Simon Black. He is so smooth, so composed under pressure, has deadly disposal by hand and foot, can create a scoring opportunity out of nothing with his evasiveness in traffic, can extract the ball from packs, can play as the receiver, can take contested marks and can go forward and kick goals. The amount of time he has with the ball (which is a cliche these days, but with him it is 100% spot on) is amazing, his work in traffic often goes unnoticed because of the congestion. He's going to be an elite midfielder in a couple of years, I've never been more confident of a prediction.

And the best part is, this is only his 4th year of footy in his life. It's nothing but uphill from here.

I agree with most of this, the kid is good.
All I'm saying is that he is not there yet. If you believed the Collingwood fans, he is already at Simon Black's level.

I disagree that his work in traffic often goes unnoticed. Every time ge gets his hands on the leather it's, "Well done, Pendles!"

Yes it can, it's out of Murphy and Pendlebury. I prefer Pendlebury personally, but it's certainly debatable.

Disagree,
I rate Murphy extremely highly, however Pendlebury has eclipsed him in almost every category. Pendlebury would be the most sought after midfield youngster on an afl list at the moment.

This is not bias, anyone who doesn't recognise that can't make a proper assessment of a players worth.

Some Hawks fans are the same with Buddy:eek:

Well he's certainly not at Black's level yet, I'm not sure who says that.

And like I said before, you must be sitting near his family. :p Because I don't hear that at all, he is like the unsung hero of kids where I sit. Thomas on the other hand, he gets complimented every time he touches it. Partly because he is an excitement machine, and perhaps people sense he will do something special, but it is quite excessive at times.

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree. You've got players like Selwood, Murphy, Foley, Lewis, Boak, Griffen etc. Plus guys like Palmer, Cotchin who have loads of potential.

Pendlebury is certainly among that group, and above a few of them, but he's not the clear cut best as you suggest.

The difference is that Buddy has developed into one of the most dominant players in the competition.
Forget what I say. Glen Archer knows his shit. He said that Franklin is the best player in the competition.

Do you honestly think that this time, next season, people will saying the same thing about Pendlebury?
