What the F...? I presume not in the game unless it happened very late. I remember him trying to intercept the ball across half forward but he fumbled it. Did he have an accident on the weekend? How serious is it Clint and how long will he be out for?

I cant see him playing this weekend, as he's been ruled out of any contact drills at training. Never know though.

Someone else smashed a thumb up, cant remember who but I remember it was pretty messy. I'm still learning everyone's names :)

Apart from that, I think we've escaped pretty much intact, pride not included.

Clint did this happen during the game? If you say he's a chance this week then I take it it's not too serious? I read somewhere that Thornton might require another knee recon, do you know anything about this?

I wasn't at the game, but unless Ash Thornton did a knee against Peel on the weekend, you might be confused with the fact his brother Bryce did a knee in one of the practice games and needed [or has already had] a recon.

Wonder if we'll get Mayne this week, and maybe Drum. I also saw Sam Butler had a poor game with only 9 disposals... chance to be dropped with Adam Selwood due to come back?

Speaking of Eagles I think our rookie selection of Ashley Smith might be close to selection, though maybe he'll come back through the reserves?

Dick did hurt himself during the game as far as I'm aware, he had some ice on it after the game.

Don't know anything about a knee reco for anyone (well none more than have already happened).

Backs against the wall this weekend.

Forget about Mayne. Drum could be a crazy chance to line up for us.

You gave us a bloody scare earlier in the week Clint but thankfully Dick played and without any signs of a broken hand, not even a bandage. Still I appreciate you posting it on here if you know of any injuries. I rather know on Monday than find out on Thursday. Dick played a very good game but I always notice him feeling his right hammy and he was lifting his leg up and bending his knee a few times. He's obviously got something not quite right there.

Hassa no problems with Thornton on Friday night, played very well in the full back line.

I am surprised that Dick was OK, can only go by what I was told and he was banned from contact drills at training, yet was going in hard during the game. This bloke has a lot of guts and as Jarman said, he turned the game around.

A lot of team spirit out there.

No training tonight due to the home game being on Easter Monday.

Really looking forward to our first home game. Swans are beatable for sure, take them out and we're sending a message to the comp that the Demons are in the hunt this year.

OK, want to get some good healthy discussion going on in here, particularly about 1 player who seems held on a pedestal by all, including myself.

Watched the game today and while he racks up 30+ posessions is K-T really that valuable? Or was it a one off bad game?

Now, before you go off at me, I'll recount what I observed. Kick to self and play on from goalsquare, tackled HTB and that Noakes runs into open goal. Then from hb kicks the ball all the way across the hb line to go oob in the fp. Can't recall if EP scored from this? Tried to kick the ball too hard and often came off the boot in the proverbial flourbag formation. Often ignored team mates in a better position and constantly demanded the ball, even if in a worse position. Don't get me wrong, to demand the ball is good, but not when you are in a worse possie.

Don't know dees supporters, but just some seeds of doubt put into my mind today as to whether he's that valuable. Previously I've been a great admirer, but I was watching closely today because my Swans weren't involved so I could.:thumbsu:

Swannies KT did miss kick a couple today but I thought other than that he put in a fairly even 4 qtr effort off the wing. I think he needs to be used forward a bit more because he is lethal once he gets balanced on that left foot.

The player that wastes the ball too much for me is Ross Young. He gets a lot of it. He missed 2 shots on goal I expect him to make and he does that every week. He kicked a nice one at the end but it was too late.

Either way they are both classy players but they both let themselves down at times.

Funny you should mention this. Someone who had a copy of the Budget yesterday pointed out how many touches he had in the last game (I think it was 38) and I thought to myself how many were effective?

He is a very good player but disposals have too often been used a gauge.

KT and Young weren't alone yesterday.

Jarman threw everyone but the players out of the rooms after the game and I really want to find out what went on.

Good to hear. I think yesterdays performance was probably the first totally unacceptable performance Jarman has seen and now he's got a taste of what we've had to put up with for decades. It is called UNDER ACHIEVING or UNDER PERFORMING!!

Yep, I hope Jarman gets rid of it for all you patient and long suffering supporters.:thumbsu: I sure hope he gets you lot fired up for the meeting with Subi, whenever that is.

Perhaps he's on target to get rid of it.

Not just beating the top team but the way they did it. Didn't drop their heads when East Freo could have run over the top of them. Very gutsy and the boys showed a lot of heart.

Season over.

Has the coach lost his marbles? Heard that he sat in the back of a ute for some of the game.

Jarman is a clown. I was delighted when North Adelaide let him go. We also had to put up with his attempts at humour in a regular 5min spot on 10, where he gave "advice" to bothe the local AFL coaches. I believe Perth has been spared this indignity. Anyway good luck for the rest of the season.

Only read the weekend newspaper yesterday and saw Ken Armstrong had passed away and there would be a service at Lathlain.

Vale Ken, great servant to Perth Footy Club and the WAFL.:footy:

I see Andrew MacDougall is back training at Perth.....perhaps the real MacDougall may stand up this time?....or perhaps he already has and Jars is getting desperate?

Didn't last long. Three training sessions and he was outta there.

Half an hour before he was due to come in to sign the contract he called up the football manager and said he'd changed his mind.

I'm getting dizzy!

McDougall is a definate IN for Perth. Apparently the reporter who said he had changed his mind just misquoted some doubt he expressed about not being ready and not wanting to let the club down. That's great news for us because we badly need a key forward and mature age ruckman and Doog's can fill either of those roles. Things are looking up.

He looked pretty keen at at training last night. A big in for the club.

I really think we're going OK despite some supporters lamenting the lack of recruits, there are some young blokes ready to step up and they've been working hard.

Very disappointed at the loss of John New before playing an actual game, did an ACL in the intra-club. Seemed to have a bit of fire in the belly and very pacy.

Had to laugh at Jarman saying there's plenty of replacements for Jones, he's right though, the biggest loss is Zucconi.
