Good win by Perth today against Peel, most critics tipped Perth for the spoon just goes to show you can't polish a turd even with an AFL a lignment with Freo reckon there would of been about 1200 hundred at the game probably 150 Peel supporters, what a farce no AFL this weekend either.

Solid win yesterday with some encouraging signs. The pressure in the forward line was pleasing to see......you could actually be optimisitic we were a scoring chance when inside 50!!
Think Reimers may unfortunatley be having an enforced holiday. Tunbridge is also out for another two weeks which doesn't help our forward stocks. McInnes looked threatening at times and could snare a bag in the near future. Certainly wasn't afraid to try taking a hanger!
Murray battled hard and was quite impressive and offered a bit around the ground and most of the new recruits showed they have something to offer.
Hodge looks like he has lifted a level and worked tirelessly around the ground.Bateman also ran hard and used the ball well as you'd expect.
No Billings or Siekeirka so they maybe losses as well. Anyone know if Busher is close to a return? Also Holland who showed promise last year?
Thankfully SF also have a bye next week so we'll be meeting them on even terms on March 30

Heard that Busher is 5 or 6 weeks away, saw him run out with the 16's after the league game i assume he was the runner and he seemed to be moving freely.

Don't know how this will go or how many Perth supporters there are on BigFooty but I thought I would give this a shot anyways.

So if you are a fan of the Demons please post in here.
about time perth fans got posting again. ever since the wafl online forum went mysteriously missing , it's gone all quiet. perth is having a year to remember. it's still going to be tough to make those finals. will be an absolute injustice if they don't. they look good enough. come on demons, give it everything you got. been watching vfl and sanfl games. the wafl is far superior to those leagues, at least at the moment. the grounds, the style of play, the tv coverage, the callers. the only thing equal is the abysmal umpiring in all three leagues.

We needed to stand up today and failed yet again failed terribly. Really disappointing given we started well. The footy we've played at times this season has been really pleasing yet since June we have fallen away badly. The close losses we have coughed up will probably cost us a berth in the finals. Hopefully the majority of this group can stick with the club next year. Anyone know what has happened to Busher, Collard, Boyle and Donovan ? Huge game next week at Moora

its goodnight irene for perth in 2013. perth would be better off merging with swan districts. some players might get a gig. PERTH COACHES AND THEIR FOOTBALL STAFF NEED NOT APPLY.

Perth won 10 out of 20 last year. We've lost McInnes, Tunbridge, Colledge, Butler, Ash Smith (all West Coast Eagles AFL or reserves), Ali Smith, Kyle Reimers, Jack Sketcher, Michael Mather and maybe Matthew Tedesco. We've gained all three Morton brothers and a few more recruits who will be announced when cleared.

However, we will see massive improvement in contribution at league level this year from:
1) Michael Sinclair (played full season of league straight out of colts...can only get better)
2) Matthew Boyle (travelling second half of 2013 after impressive break through to league)
3) Kieran Hug (winner of colts fairest and best in 2012, dominated at reserves level in 2013 and winning all the runs in pre-season.....could be anything)
4) Joel Leeson (prodigious talent has found new level of maturity and professionalism)
5) Joel Houghton (former Docker has put on 7kg of muscle in off season. anything is possible... massive talent)
5) Cam Manuel (ready for break out year)
6) Michael Florio (will lift to new level with Cale Morton on the other wing....will surpass 2011 form when close to being drafted)
7) Matt Hunt (dominated in resies at times last year...new level of maturity will force his way as league regular)
8) Jarrad Irons (former Port Power player injured most of last year. Dead serious this year and can play)
9) Haydn Busher (kicked 30 in 2011 and has been injured until now. now fit. CHF question answered)
10) Christian Eyres (young ruckman with another year under his belt. Massive leap and strong as an Ox. Andrew Ruck coaching our ruck this year will be invaluable)
11) David Johnston (former Swans/Peel key position player injured most of last year but will be big contributor this year)
12) Callum Collard (hard-at-it forward who kicked a bag of goals last year to give us a peek at the talent. Full pre-season and may surprise all.

Also look out for youngsters Reese Richardson, Cameron Jones, Sean Holland, Tyler Chrimes, Joel Kalajzic, Aaron Dow, Sam Garstone, Clem Smith (will be top 10 draft pick in 2014), Alex Moreno and Brent Edmonds to push for league games this year.

I may have missed a few but we are in for exciting times.

In the case of both Kyle Reimers and Jack Sketcher, their long term girlfriends elected to stay in Victoria throughout last year. In hindsight that was never going to work and in future, I don't think the club would recruit interstate players who have long term partners unless the partners also move to Perth. This has worked extremely successfully in the case of Paul Bevan.

Sketcher was a bit underdone when he arrived and I think the big grounds took some getting used to but he was a every consistent performer and probably came top 10 in the Butcher. He was very well liked too and was disciplined. He would have been even better this year with a full pre-season under his belt but it wasn't to be.

Bottom two for me, Perth supporters talk this team up every year its the same old **** , interesting that Ali Smith was put up as a swap for Daly from Swans halfway through the year regardless of work Ali wasn't going to be at Perth this year don't be surprised if he's at Swans in 2015.

You're entitled to your opinion. Perth won 10 out of 20 last year and the squad is in better nick this year than last, so I'm optimistic. Yeah maybe Ali will be at Swans. Good call.

Nobody here predicting a premiership. Just a good year.

I hope so. I have a soft spot for the Red Legs. For a side that has produced some great players over the years, I'm always suprised at the lack of on field success.
