Are you sure Langdon was a member of the 86 Subiaco team?

You should post a caution that Brendan Foster wrote this article (not a journalist).

He was around in 86, but you are right, does a 3rds premiership qualify nope .... he was a teller in a bank I used out Kewdale way.
No statue Karl, I tried ... am trying !!

If Justin Langer can coach WA to a Shield victory soon he should be first up for the statue. Would be another 'up yours' to the WAFC by having a cricketing great honoured first.

If they did contemporary naming of bars or statues, Pavlich the obvious standout for Freo, what about West Coast?

Cousins obviously tarnished

Does Judd leaving disqualify him?

Matera? Jackovich?

At AO they went with 70s greats of robran, Ebert and blight.

I feel WA will look back to that era or older rather than immortalising a South Aussie or a Victorian

Stadium names for sale in Labor plan

Naming rights for Perth Stadium and Perth Arena will be sold as part of a Labor strategy the party claims will repair the State’s parlous finances.

Ahead of the release of the party’s costings today, The West Australian can reveal Labor will allow the naming rights to be sold for an estimated boost to the Budget of $10.5 million over four years.

But shadow treasurer Ben Wyatt has warned not to expect “dramatic” reductions in State debt under a Labor government because it would not sell Western Power.

Treasurer Mike Nahan ridiculed Labor’s overall budget approach yesterday as Treasury released its assessment of Liberal policies, which forecast a $24 million surplus by 2019-20.

Mr Wyatt said he expected some people would have strong opinions on whether the venues should carry corporate names, but the deals were an important part of acknowledging the state of the finances.

“We need to maximise the return taxpayers receive from these assets,” Mr Wyatt said.

“Like pretty much every major stadium in Australia and the world, we see an opportunity to sell the naming rights to Perth Arena and Perth Stadium to generate a return to the taxpayer.

“These are just parts of decisions that will have to be made by me if I become treasurer and treasurers after me because ultimately the debt will be around longer than I will be.”

In 2014, amid debate around naming the Stadium, Premier Colin Barnett ruled out selling naming rights because he did not believe it was appropriate to have a commercial name attached to such a significant State-owned asset.

A vote for Labor is a vote for Twiggy Stadium or Gina Arena.

Ooo, I can do this too. A vote for Liberals is a vote for 10 billion dollar debt and nothing to get us back in the black.
