Raise your hand if Fremantle should still be playing at Subiaco. Reasoning, they only average 40,000 out of a 60,000 seat venue.
41,000 average home crowd at Optus is still around a 20% improvement over 2017 numbers at Subi.

If Subi wasn't a sub-par shithole and the only reason for the new stadium was a capacity increase, then maybe. But it was, and that's the whole point of the new stadium.Raise your hand if Fremantle should still be playing at Subiaco. Reasoning, they only average 40,000 out of a 60,000 seat venue.
If we are just using population, which is your call. Doesn't it make more sense to have more teams in Sydney, which has 3 million more people or SEQ, which has 1 million more people than Perth?

What about Melbourne? that's there traditional home ground?at the MCG except maybe Richmond and Collingwood.

Yeah but they could of saved it if they, A. have a new team play there, or B. Fremantle player there until they have a big enough supporter base to fill the new stadium. You know Subi is getting demolished soon right?

First GF at Adelaide Oval, albeit was Norwood vs Port, but they got a ripper crowd. Probably will get more than if it was at Subi.
Dont the SANFL GFs usually outdraw both the WAFL & the VFL?
Generally. However it probably got more at AO than it would have if it was 12 months earlier at AAMI. New stadium factor etc.Dont the SANFL GFs usually outdraw both the WAFL & the VFL?
Might get a few extra in at the SANFL due to the media attention.Generally. However it probably got more at AO than it would have if it was 12 months earlier at AAMI. New stadium factor etc.
Or a whole lot of people boycotting it coz they're pissed at the League!Might get a few extra in at the SANFL due to the media attention.
I'd go in the hope of seeing North Adelaide lose.Or a whole lot of people boycotting it coz they're pissed at the League!

West Perth are one of the better supported clubs, but Subi has got no fans. And it's expected to be a walkover.
If they get 25k then that's a brilliant result. Probably would have been low teens at Subi.
