He just said that all our passionate supporters require is leadership, in our fight to remain, and we'll receive that after tonight!

He also confirmed that the AFL said NO!

GOOD!

Just said that 90% of members don't want the club to move.

Most important factor is survival in Melbourne. If we have the right plan for that, then we're basically staying.

He's also made it clear that the shareholders are the ones in the position of strength if and when it all comes down to a vote, with our current structure.

That MUST change!

Also.......he's made it very clear that the board's responsibility is first and foremost to work FOR the club's members who, as mentioned above, overwhelmingly want to remain in Melbourne and fight.

So a guy no-longer in an 'official' capacity (as at the moment), can correctly read the landscape of members views... but our full time CEO believes members are split on the decision. Sadly it says it all about our dysfunctional leadership, and their inability to communicate with and / or understand the the lifeblood of this club.

He has been resolute and open throughout this whole saga

Well done Peter. One of the only directors that seems to understand the concept that clubs require leadership. People won't just sign up to make life easier on the board. They have to offer their trust to be rewarded.

summed up what we all have been thinking.

need for leadership, more communication = belonging = more members.

the members will be there forever

..also said, if the pro-melb get their way, name change to North Melbourne ie. on the Score Boards etc...

Easy to understand why the board worked so hard to make sure he didn't get re-elected last year.

Gee he showed KB up for not knowing much about the issue.

KB only seems to know information that people have told him on his show.

Did ask some decent questions though, but quite a few things that I thought he should have already known.

He just said that AD hasn't spoken to him about anything since December 2006.

That's extraordinary.

Here's hoping by the end of the day AD won't ever want to speak to him again :thumbsu:
