Keep him in SA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gun, will play a lot of AFL football, just because the Crows only care about having off field angels doesn't mean Pfeiffer won't develop into a quality AFL player.

whats he done..the issues?

Bit of excessive nightclubbing, couple of punch ons. Really the sort of stuff that was once required of Port players. I'd consider him. Play him on Symes and tear the fabric of time and space for Drummond (only kiddin' D ;)).

If off-field issues means `likes a drink' yeah have a look.
If off-field issues means `is a half-arsed trainer' no chance.

Why would we trade a 187cm player in Symes and draft another 180cm player when we are short of 185 to 189 ones?

Sorry Drummond but you are being a total ****wit. You should just **** off to Port Adelaide and don't let me catch you jumping on the bandwagon if the Crows have a good year in 2008.
+'s of Pfeiffer being drafted to Port:

1. Stays with Norwood
2. Will play AFL as Port develop their youngsters
3. Will show the AFC what a mistake they made

I dont buy the whole off feild dramas stuff as the nail in the coffin. I reckon it cut deeper than that and would have something to do with his application for being an AFL footballer. Whether that is commitment to training or poor attitude would only be speculation. You couple this with a few indescretions and I'm sure that tipped us over the edge. Maybe it would work if you picked him up but I'm sure AFC didnt show him the door because they decided to pull a name out of their arse and his came up.

IMO you lot on the AFC board need to develop a bit of tolerance to people who have different opinions to the "consensus" ones. IMO this is where the Port BF board sheets all over the AFC board.
Although "wrong" opinions from "non team" followers are perhaps accepted by more posters on the AFC board than this one.

I am happy to accept opinions but in Drummond's case it's a matter of throwing insults at the club and ASKING for it to be made a fool of, when he is supposed to be a supporter. Poor form, we don't need or want "supporters" like that, at least not on our forum.

I agree with Drummond in that Darren can play on talls just as adequately as Symes could.

In any case, Id rather Darren play as a midfielder for us if we were to pick him up.

I think we should definately have a look at him. Tough, hard at it, throws his body in, fine skills, decent pace and can play all over the park. I think he wont last through the National draft. If this draft is indeed light on in depth then Id be more than happy to use the latter 2nd round pick on him. I think hes a huge talent and could really benefit our side.

Very interesting decision by the Crows. Just another first round draft failure that was the genius of James Fantasia

alan stewart was at the crows at that time. although not in a head recruiters role you can bet he would have had his 10 cents worth.
