I honestly don't think he would be a good senior coach. Has a lot of edges to his demeanour. If it is Walsh I'd be surprised only because I never realised he wanted to be a senior coach.

Shaun Rehn will be pissed. He was very upset when Port had to let him go to bring in Walsh. If he got a head coach role we would let him go. You can't really stop them.
My only disappointment would be that we had to let someone go to bring him in last year.
Just heard about this rumour and would be really pissed if this happens. I hope this can be debugged quickly! If it happens though, we should get Sanderson as an assistant as pay back!

Whaddya mean we cant really stop them ? , we are a business not a training academy or a community welfare association , if they wont sign mutually beneficial agreements don't sign em . I know of a case locally where one partner wanted out of a business , he was paid out with the proviso that he sign an agreement to start a similar set up locally within 5 years , im not an legal eagle but im sure we could cover ourselves better. If he got a head coach role we would let him go. You can't really stop them.

don't nit pick my comments so much , we are building well in the midfield going to take time to get perfect and every team has a massive run on in the midfield not Walsh's fault completely
Generaly accepted , not by me , I don't think we should be so lax on this ,no matey matey with this , I reckon they get paid very well , so make em stick to contracts. Regards players clubs can and do enforce contracts .I could point out Daniel Gorringe or Paddy Ryder at this point.
It's generally accepted in the afl that you dont block assistants from taking head roles.
Choco , Primus , Sando etc , get the bullet and get paid out contracts = fair enough , Richo , Walsh leave early , do we get a breaking of contract refund/payout , bloody hope so ,piss poor contract management if not.
