If it's true, I'd really struggle to get my head around why we don't have interest in Draper. You could easily make the argument that he brings more of what we need/what the modern game requires than any other prospect in the top-10. Would be ridiculous if he slipped through to St Kilda's pick.

Twomey (and others) keep re-hashing that our interest is in Langford, FOS, Tauru and Lalor.

1) Lalor
2) FOS
3) Tauru

and then take Reid with our second selection.

I just read it. Ashcroft going at P5! That'd be a dream result for the lions!

Carlton is heavily linked to him, I wonder if the lack of interest isn't so much a lack of interest but probably knowing that he will be off the table and therefore putting more effort into other players.

After a million phantoms insisting that Tauru really is North's guy, surprise surprise, it looks like they aren't actually going to use 2 on a guy generally rated outside the top 6.

(To be fair, Twomey's phantom doesn't account for pick swaps, but most of the North pick swap predictions have been based on the idea that Tauru's the one they would want at 2 anyway).

Langford and Allan would be a solid outcome. As A11dAtP0w3R said yesterday, you could start one forward, one back, and have both rotating through the midfield initially.

Looks like my dreams of Smith or Draper are fading, but I'd be much happier with Langford than I would be Tauru.

Still prefer Reid/Allan/Hotton/Lindsay, but could live with him at nine. Just way too many question marks for a top-five pick IMO.
