I reckon Smilie could be a generational talent once he gets into an AFL system. Not sure what it is, but the way he moves in some the stoppage vision is awesome.
BUT.... H is very much a boom or bust proposition.
I don’t have a problem with either of those players, it would just be a terrible mix for our current stock.
Could you imagine a midfield of Viney, Petracca, Oliver, Langford and Smilie!
We’d win every stoppage then the opposition would just run it straight back up around us.

Lol yeah me too. I don't even care who we draft. Haven't looked at a profile or anything. Don't care either. Pick some campaigners who kick it long down the line wherever
Hahaha, could work well for us if the word is that Tauru gets picked at 5. North either jump on him at 2 and we get a better range of midfield options at 5 or they offer us 2 and FF for 5 and 9. Then we can see if Tigers want to move pick 10 into next year.

Personally I think they’ll improve but still see them a bottom 4 prospect. They have again failed to address key defence. Maybe they’ll grab someone experienced in the draft or FA. But they lack that player and or a general to replace Zieble.

They grabbed Jack Darling. Surely they are looking closely at Thommo but haven't heard anything which seems crazy.
Darling I don’t mind. But I was meaning key defenders. Tommo would have to be a consideration for them. I like the Parker acquisition too. Daniel should be a good get although I’m not as convinced on him anymore.
I’ll be very surprised if they finish above us. For me that would take us just falling apart or them skyrocketing.
Well, we fell apart last season.
May and Gawn are older, our forward line is a mess and there's still question marks over Trac and Oliver.
We're hard to predict because of all of that - I can see us finishing anywhere from about 5-16.
North don't have our ceiling imo but they should climb a rung or even two.
I can see them finishing 10-15 ...

Is there a world where we become so infatuated with Tauru that we become the ones to swap 5 and 9 for pick 2 so we get him before North can?

We didn't address KPPs in defence for years and still rose up the ladder. I agree with The Dr that north will be better than us next year, can't see us improving tbh.

We haven't left Lamb with enough second rounders to move up 3 spots in the draft.
