I see we nominated Andrew and Menth. I suppose we’ll rookie both?We won't be picking up Noah Yze as we didn't nominate him for father son.
Good choice from our end.
I would assume that would be the plan given our senior list doesn't have many spots to fill.I see we nominated Andrew and Menth. I suppose we’ll rookie both?
I don’t believe you can do that. He’d be in the open draft.I would assume that would be the plan given our senior list doesn't have many spots to fill.
Yze not being nominated isn't too much of a surprise. Do we still have the option of nominating him as a father son in the future if he does come on in the next few seasons?
If we rate a player(s) as best for our pick 9 but believe we can get them at a later pick then why wouldn't you trade back? There are players in the draft that 1 team has as top 10 but another club wouldn't even take top 20.Why the hell would we trade a fortune to get pick 9 only to trade it out for worse picks again
Yes i believe so.I see we nominated Andrew and Menth. I suppose we’ll rookie both?
I'd we traded back from 9 and then player we wanted was taking just before us that would be one of the all time stupid decisions. Just take the guy we wantIf we rate a player(s) as best for our pick 9 but believe we can get them at a later pick then why wouldn't you trade back? We traded out a fortune to get into the round as we knew it was worth being in there but also a long way from draft night. Gives a lot of flexibility to then move back or split etc.
Sorry, I meant to include if they were undrafted this year. I assume the answer is the same either way.I don’t believe you can do that. He’d be in the open draft.
Yeah we’ll forgo any f/s rights at all now.Sorry, I meant to include if they were undrafted this year. I assume the answer is the same either way.
I'd we traded back from 9 and then player we wanted was taking just before us that would be one of the all time stupid decisions. Just take the guy we want
Besides the only club with anything to offer is WC with 12 and 26 and theyd be silly to make that trade.
There is just one guy we want. There will be a group broken into tiers and some of them would be like splitting hairs which one to take.I'd we traded back from 9 and then player we wanted was taking just before us that would be one of the all time stupid decisions. Just take the guy we want

See you don't make any sense, moving up to get a player vs moving down isn't the same thing at all. There is just one guy we want. There will be a group broken into tiers and some of them would be like splitting hairs which one to take.
WC are definately not the only one with anything to offer but if they have someone in their group available at 9 that is a cut above their other options but won't be at 12 then it wouldnt be silly at all.
If we could go back to the draft where Geelong jumped up the board to grab Max Holmes before us and leave us with Laurie instead - what would you have traded to move up that one spot instead?
If a stand out player is there at 9 we didn't think likely then I agree to take him but if he is off the board then you have to consider the offers coming in.
So you would trade 5 & 9 for pick 1 or 2 to make sure you got what you think is the best player in the draft?See you don't make any sense, moving up to get a player vs moving down isn't the same thing at all.
I'm not really following along with you here that's a completely different scenario to trading down from 9 to 12 and 26So you would trade 5 & 9 for pick 1 or 2 to make sure you got what you think is the best player in the draft?
Or keep 5 & 9?
