Lol also all of them reference 21 like we are still that team is ****ing cringe. Imagine Richmond saying they were trying to get back to their 2020 form still lolfor me it's the willingness to die the slow death, club just waiting for us to bottom out before taking action on Goodwin. A decent club like Hawthorn, Collingwood, Geelong etc would have told him to overhaul the game plan at the end of 22' and he certainly wouldn't have been re-signed in 23' when he failed to do so. Good clubs don't celebrate decent H&A seasons.
genuinely embarrassing akin to Essendon fans believing they're still a strong club.Lol also all of them reference 21 like we are still that team is ****ing cringe. Imagine Richmond saying they were trying to get back to their 2020 form still lol
They did just win a flag 25 years ago, if they can just get Lloyd, Lucas, Hird, Wellman and Fletcher fit againgenuinely embarrassing akin to Essendon fans believing they're still a strong club.
I'll take that 100% Would love to finally attend a flag!I hope we average 60 points a game and flag
lol. Only a few days away thank goodness. Then the melts about taking the wrong kidAh, Pick 9
Agree in general.Getting back on topic, I've made it pretty clear than Smith and Draper are my dreams for 5, though would settle for any of those two, Langford, Lalor and FOS.
It's a bit murkier with 9. Reid I'm pretty set on (though I sort of get the argument that we may not want to draft him and Langford together due to pace concerns). Tauru won't be on the board at nine, so can rule him out.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if Allan is who we draft though. He's a Dees/JT archetype – big bodied, defensive, 'explosive', long kick but not a particularly good kick, and Western Australian. Could see them slotting him in as a Rivers replacement down back before eventually moving him into the middle.
I wouldn't be displeased with Allan, so long as we also take one of those 'big five' mids, as he doesn't offer too much in the way of points of difference to what we already have.
I do wonder if Hotton and Lindsay are worth considering here though as they'll give us a bit of a different look (Lindsay with his kicking, Hotton with pace/X-factor).
Would be happy with Allan at 9 if it was with one of Smith or Draper. I honestly dont think Allan and Langford and are that far apart as players. Langford probably the sexier name coz he can play forward while Allan can play back, I suppose you could make an argument for drafting both Langford and Allan in that respect since they can play at opposite ends of the ground but two bigger body mids which lack speed isnt really what I hope we do. Wouldnt love it, but its not like i really hate it either.Getting back on topic, I've made it pretty clear than Smith and Draper are my dreams for 5, though would settle for any of those two, Langford, Lalor and FOS.
