Didn't look healthy. Similar situation to the katty player on Saturday. I'd be concerned if either were allowed to play after being full knocked out

Angus coldwell, Mark McQualter, Ben Irvine , Trent Osbourne, Harley Middleton, Jack Robinson an jake Beams who went down in the first 10 minutes on Saturday with a serious eye injury. No excuses but pretty hard to cover that many injuries at this time of the year .an strathy were a well drilled team . Thank god for the second chance playing a team coming of a elimination final with a weeks rest ??? Funny finals system we have in place

Berrigan haven't won the week after the bye anytime this year and haven't been beaten the following week. Whilst their opponent Deni have struggled a bit the week after a bye ( havent kicked 10 goals) a 79 point loss to strathy and a 18 point win over Blighty who they beat by 29 in round 2.
Is coming off a bye an advantage or disadvantage ??
All sides got a week off over the first two weeks of finals something which wouldnt happen in a traditional final 8 system, with only Katty having had a bye in the month previous to finals.

Yeah mate few injuries but end of the day just got beaten by a better side I guess

Blighty seniors not playing finals has certainly helped the Blighty seconds side so the result was no surprise to most. It was always going to be a close game that could've went either way, even though if you looked at the ladder and % you'd say Berrigan would win comfortably.

Thought it was a well umpired game this afternoon by 2/3. Weird that someone with affiliations with Waaia was able to umpire them in a senior preliminary final?...

Waaia deserved winners though. Best team all year

Believe the umpire faternity were asked not to have him umpireWaaia games as others were asked not to umpire specific clubs . Believe a similar request was made about an umpire who officiated today and was the centre of plenty .

Given the frequency this finals series my understanding is that it is planned that the rule pertaining to extra time will be published within finals records , including the GF next week.
