Looking at Facebook,Coaching announcements made for seniors and seconds
Anyone who thinks clubs were going to rebound without a glitch from the 2 covid affected seasons is deluded.Would the other clubs or executive let them (or any other struggling club) go down the path of 2022 again? Would appear a fair chunk of last years team has moved on / returned to the MFL clubs without much in the way of player arrival announcements, yet.......
Also, last year saw THREE clubs not field thirds teams - surely that isn't seen as a sustainable situation with an eye to the future, and for junior player retention for any or all the clubs going forward?
Anyone who thinks clubs were going to rebound without a glitch from the 2 covid affected seasons is deluded.
It is also only natural that those who were already short on numbers are going to be the hardest hit by shrinking numbers created by a decade of youth taking up individual sports or hobbies they were able to do during that time .
It’s going be a 5-10 year slog rather than a 1-2 year fix .
Toc wants back in. Official. Will they get accepted back?
Wow, talk about being hung out to drySurely afl vic owe toc an apology, to try ruin a league, they've nearly ruined a club
Hang on ,, is Toc to blame as well ,, they are the ones that left the Picola league to go back to the Murrray league ,, like whagt the hell ,, how were they going to be competitiveWhat an intriguing turn of events. The moment AFLGM killed the second comp concept Toc players would have become recruiting targets given the 2023 player group wouldn’t have been thrilled at the prospect of another long year in MFL.
Didn’t they go back to Murray league with understanding in 2024 they would be playing in a new COmp alongside equals from the Picola and KDL With nod, wink from AFLGM they would help make it happen.Hang on ,, is Toc to blame as well ,, they are the ones that left the Picola league to go back to the Murrray league ,, like whagt the hell ,, how were they going to be competitive
Clubs who left in 2018 ( non affiliation ) have reported similar .Didn’t they go back to Murray league with understanding in 2024 they would be playing in a new COmp alongside equals from the Picola and KDL With nod, wink from AFLGM they would help make it happen.

What is most disturbing is the position the individuals who are most involved are put in.
They trust everything which is provided to them , they then lobby for the provided ‘NEW’ alternative which also includes ensuring any possible negativity of the current or old league is distributed with or without a little mayo and at times publicly .
When it all turns to s**t that person(s) is left in a terrible position and reliant upon the forgiveness of the previous league to return (as such ) which they’ve lobbied against within their community . Due to the efforts they’ve taken and for their own dignity they also continue to seize any opportunity in an attempt to prove , what they’ve previous said against the league or / individuals involved .
Whilst their character is questioned within the community they’ve lived in and often done a power of volunteer work in .
Whilst those truly responsible seemingly get a credit placed upon their resume .
It’s quite sad and unnecessary .
People have and will continue to say what they like , but it’s probably an appropriate time to remind everyone that when the picola league first rejected affiliation , RAC administration of all leagues was part of the affiliation agreement and yearly fees paid to the AFL was roughly $4k more per club in the whole of country Victoria . The league rejected forced administration and publicised the savings the league would have by not being affiliated . Forced administration was dropped across the state and the next season fees were dropped by roughly $4k per club . ( where was that money going before being called out ?)
Not being administered within RAC’s is now recognisied as the preferred option across the state , whilst admin costs for those within RAC continue to escalate , many are now paying ( or being asked to pay ) more than double of when they first started .
Additional to that for many the only means of communication is in writting between 9-5 weekdays which must have the clubs letterhead .
Maybe it’s time for some to re- assess who is the vilian.
Edit : don’t be surprised if the Picola league announces another imitative in future . Which will will be able to be introduced without the support of others. Much like the u11’s which is now accepted and supported by most .
Yarroweah agm next Friday , not much news coming out of hopper land.
What was the figure ?After the conclusion of the 2018 year of non-affiliation it was well publicised the substantial payout/profit sharing PDFNL clubs received from the league - has this been/ going to be repeated for the 2023 year?

Dang - my bad - better go back to getting the kids to search stuff for me, Sunday's can be fuzzy......That article states the 2022 profit, not 2018 .
What was the 2018 figure you referred to ?
So despite saying the below mentioned you don’t know what the figure was ?Dang - my bad - better go back to getting the kids to search stuff for me, Sunday's can be fuzzy......
That being said Mr T.R.I.B. - it demonstrates the league executive are doing right by the member clubs giving them an end of year top up - maybe you could have a talk to the other Mr R and he could provide you with the correct figures 'you' were seeking for the 2018 year and beyond - so that positive light keeps shining on the league
