Just watched the last five mins again...
How many pies supporters where celebrating topless behind the goals heck me hahahahah had a good old laugh haha

People may say he has a red hot crack at it, but the reality is that he's too slow to keep up with the pace of the game and when you have another in Macaffer, the team is in real trouble.

In Howe and Varcoe, out Macaffer and Oxley. Oxley is good when he has the ball in space but doesn't do the hard stuff he made Grigg look like Dustin Martin when he tried to tackle him tonight
Oxley was good tonight, as was Sinclair (very stiff on the high tackle), De Goey showed signs, Adams a bit quieter, Greenwood was good, but none of them could tackle Martin and no-one could last week either. Oxley, I thought, actually attacked Martin better than the others - Caff and Greenwood both literally bounced off him

Interesting selections next week, but l would say Gault will be the only definate out so far.

In: Varcoe, Howe
Out : Gault, McCaffer
What does everyone think of Aish's games?

I know it was his first game for Pies but surprised Aish didn't look hungry for the ball.

NB - obviously I only watched Aish as I traded him in my SuperCoach team. Trealor on the other hand is an absolute Jet (needs to kick better though). Good win hot pies!

Aish looked out of place, but I'd rather give him another game especially against Saints than dump him back to VFL
Oh missed your post but yes Aish didn't look like he wanted contact with other player nor the ball. On play where Aish got the ball on the ground and handballed to his team mate and was effective but there was a split second delay.

That doesn't elevate his game to acceptable. That just says he was right place at the right time.

This isn't to cast aspersions on him long term more for his prospects v St Kilda. Also don't get me started on that in Hine we trust garbage.

Thats how I see it with Grundy. I'm not sure I've seen a guy get so comprehensively smashed in the ruck by a team without a ruckman of note. Hampson was made to look like NicNat last night, jumping all over Grundy and palming the ball wherever he wanted. He was in the right spot at the right time and kudos for getting the job done when he was, but apart from that he was god awful.

That play by Gault where he dropped the mark and did the half assed soccer off the ground to the opposition was one of the more pathetic efforts I've seen

I really wanted this guy in the team, but that was a real kick to the guts. He's an obvious out.

Macaffer needs to be dropped as well.

I'm not sure what you are all talking about Re Frost. He's not getting dropped, suck it up guys!

I think the Langdon calls are interesting and if you watch the last minute at about the 45 second mark he makes a very very soft decision when he had the opportunity to go.

Gault has been given two ganes and is not up to it.

Macaffer unfortunately I think the game has passed him by in his time away. Toovey provides more then him.

Grundy showed endeavour and effort and has a go at ground level And will continue to improve (remember he is young and a ruckman)

Adams , crisp , Pendlebury (injured ? ) greenwood were off last night in a big way but I'll forgive and see it as a positive considering they somehow ground out a win.

Sidebottom , varcoe , Elliot (fingers crossed) will add massive amounts

I think it's time to give Howe a crack at the expense of caff

And gault to go

Two definite changes for me and possibly give Langdon a few weeks in the twos.

You missed my point when Oxley tried to tackle Shaun Grigg he was given the Dustin Martin treatment

OUT: Gault, Frost, Langdon, Macaffer
IN: Howe, Goldsack, Varcoe, Toovey/Maynard/Marsh(dependant on VFL performance)

Frost- stiff but I just think we need more run and more kicking skill coming out of the back 50. There isn't a real matchup for him either with Brown and Reid taking the KPP.

Langdon- Was horrible- needs to remember how to defend. Send him back to the VFL to find form.

Macaffer and Gault- No explanation needed.

We will definitely need some pace back in next week against the Saints.

In- Varcoe (fingers crossed) Goldy, Howe.

Out- Gault, Caff, Langdon

I think Reid is more of an offensive weapon if Frost and Brown both play.

No need for wholesale changes. We beat a top four contender after an 80 point loss last start and after they had beaten us by 90 points at the previous meeting.

Maccaffer Gault and Langdon the only three to consider dropping with Howe and maybe Varcoe the main two to consider bringing in

Wouldnt be surprised if there was only one change, Howe for Caff.

Didn't we use our last rookie upgrade on Gault and therefore can't play Cox?

We can LTI Swan. But we wont be doing that yet. We need a settled ruck lineup, with Witts playing one game and Grundy the next and Cloke second ruck one week and Gault the next its been ridiculous. Just let Grundy and Gault spend some time doing it and let them work their way into form. Revoving door selection can be destabilising.

^ thanks guys, completely forgot about the Swan LTI.

Assuming Varcoe isn't ready to come back in....

Out.
Macaffer - hasn't really shown anything in any of the games this year, including pre-season. I was mystified when we resigned him
Langdon - needs to get confidence back in the twos and find intensity.

In:
Howe - assuming he gets through, we need to get this bloke in for a bit of X factor.
Goldsack - I'm not a fan of him being in the side long term, but just while we have a couple of experienced heads out I think we need him in. Brings intensity that we need.

Again want to reiterate how disappointed I am in Sidebottom when we really need him last night and next week.

Do not understand people calling for Frost's head after tonight.

For me
Out: Macaffer, Gault
In: Howe, White
Frost does his job.
He's no star, in fact he's limited but has jobs which he generally does, no fuss.
Does have speed.

Out: Gault, Crisp/Maccafer

In: Howe, Goldsack

At the moment, the form of both Crisp and Caff isn't strong enough for both to be in, so we should drop one. They're similar players with similar roles.

Howe for Gault and throw Darcy into the second ruck role. Reckon our forward line becomes more dynamic, and Howe will give us better value for money when we break from the back and our forwards stream towards goal.

Goldsack to play in defense. Langdon might not be defending well, but he did look dangerous when he pushed up onto the wing in the second half. I would persist with that, if Goldy can hold down a defensive role. And Goldy's another reliable kick, which we need in the back line (especially kick ins).

The other question mark is Aish. But it was his first game with us and I'd like a second run. He has to do better, but as the game went on, I thought he got more involved - tackling, some link up play. Still, we need more than one kick from a player who is known for his kicking.

Lastly - for all of the criticism that Davoren has received the past two years about our fitness and conditioning program, I think some credit should be afforded the man. In a 90-rotation cap game, we ran all over a seasoned, mature finals contender. That has to be a significant positive.
