Player Positons 2011

I believe CD give someone their positioning based mainly on where there are likely to be played in the coming season.

For instance, even though Ablett played a fair chunk of 2010 up forward, I'm sure they're betting that he'll be playing predominantly in the midfield for the Suns.

Bear in mind that they are also probably privy to far more inside information than any of us.

It looks like they've done that, yes. But again the lack of consistency is annoying. For example Broughton I think remained defence only.

Definitely a good option as a Back if he stays fit.

Cale Morton is MID only. It's Mitch Morton who is Utility, likely to be C/F. Also Jarryd Morton is a utility but I don't think anyone cares about him.

He got it wrong, reading straight from the Prospectus, he's MID only.

Cale Morton is definantly MID ONLY in the prospectus.

Yeah sorry C.Morton only a mid, i got him mixed up with hawks J.Morton.

Still an interesting prospect i was going to pick him last year, although he did get dropped once or twice last year - so i wont be picking him based on that and i know why. Melbourne have a storng philosophy if you dont lay a tackle youll get dropped. He played alright in the games before he was dropped - just didnt tackle.

He and McKenzie are both mids only. Monty hasn't changed it at all though.

Iles wouldve been nice down back i guess it makes it an easier pick for Coad and Toy now.

What position does M.Lock play, i nothing about the player except someone mentioned he lead them the past 2 years, so he must be a certain starter.

Listed as a mid and is in the leadership group. I'd imagine that he's be good for games early, but with all the big boys to fit into the squad next year, surely he'll be part of the group of kids that get rotated through...
