If Buckley gets a game I cant see it being for long, we have Maxwell, Reid if he doesnt play and also Goldsack who would all be ahead of Buckley, Hibbard and Roo for mine.

I haven't done any research on Ryder all pre-season TBH. Sandilands is obviously the best ruckman going around, the question is, how will the subs effect him this year? If you think not at all and you have the money - go for him!

I don't think they will sub Sandilands off... he will be rested up forward for a breather. Which means this season Sandilands may average more goals and marks.

Tapscott, isn't guaranteed a game. Swallow will play every game. It's then a matter of Higgins v Murphy. I think if Higgins will score the same as Murphy when he plays.

I'd go option 2!


Otten v Heppell? Otten now earmarked for the bench spot has cooled me on him a bit, but I'm still not convinced on Heppell, doesn't look like a big DT'r to me

Just comes down to whether or not you think Tapscott will play, I think he will play enough to serve a purpose as a cash cow and give you early bench cover.

Irons: I think he will play rd.1 but could be out of the side fairly quickly if he doesn't perform well. Also has a tough game first up v the Pies.

Stanley: For mine, is one of the biggest locks of the back line as he's got a mature body and will play a half forward roll for the GC which they are probably lacking.

Bewick: Would take him over Curnow and i think he'll be a very good rookie as Brisbane need to keep trying some kids through the middle.

Batchelor: Unfortunately don't know too much about him but they raved about him on the OneHD program last night.

Depending where you have the other good cover. For example if your mid bench is stronger then go the Irons/Stanley option, whereas if your backs bench is strong look at Bewick/Bachelor.

Sorry not to help more than that... ideally you'd like Stanley/Bewick but i'm assuming cash is lacking...

Broughton to score more then Gram, there is chance he will be playing in the midfield this season. Selwood & Montagna will have similar scores IMO.
