Montagna + Callinan vs Corey + Prestia ???

as a Geelong supporter i think Corey is getting a bit slow and will most likely be playing off half back than in the midfield. so this could result in easy possies or the opposite.
its a tough one cause Montangna will smash Coreys scores but i think Prestia will easy cover Callinan.
first option is obviously the safer choice but it wouldnt hurt taking a risk on the 2nd cause less people will have those 2 players.

but i think everyone is having this problem
Frasier or Petrie??
seriously how are we suppose to judge this one?? lol

Max Bailey or Robert Campbell as my fourth ruck? I have Ryder and Cox, with Zac Smith on the bench. Also have Petrie in my forward line.
With GC having the first bye and Petrie out suspended for the first round I need to have some cover. I'm assuming Campbell is out for the first few rounds with an injury? Do you think Bailey will get a game in the first round? Are there any other ruckmen around the same price range who stand a good chance of getting early games?

I Smith v I callinan?

Whoever plays round 1, if both I would probably go with Smith if you can afford the extra 17k just feel he will play more games as they Hawks need his outside run and carry

Franklin VS Sylvia

Sylvia > Franklin, although I have both.

Pendlebury + Judd vs. Stanton + Murphy + $40k?

I have Swan, obviously, so covering two maggies in the midfield would be a little bit of a stretch (given my DPP mid/back is Heppell, so will probably be on the field). I also reckon Stanton and/or Murphy have a better chance of hitting 105s (from 99/100) than Pendles does of 110 (from 105).

Just got a bad feeling about Judd. I don't wish him, or anyone, to be injured but I'm getting a negative vibe about him. He's battled injury for years and done so well but I reckon it might catch up with him. Perhaps a little less motivated as well with a fresh Charlie around his neck. Opted for Marc Murphy who I think can push for high $400,000s.

Thoughts?

I disagree with Godzkee, I also have both but if it came down to a choice between them it would be Franklin for sure. Will be the highest scoring forward this year in my opinion, only concern is if he continues to get suspended but surely he has learnt his lessons?!!

Stanton + Murphy means you'll be trading midfielders in both the last and second last weeks of the season - a dicey situation at best, especially if you're playing for the league win, which is compounded more so if you have Gibbs in the backline (I'm going to assume you will by then). I'd pick the Stanton + Murphy based purely on the players, but looking at the fixture I don't like the combo

wondering which GC youngester to take (can't afford both, very tight cap haha)
Toy vs Matera

atm i have matera with my 4 rookie backs being :
Duigan, Puopolo, Batchelor and Lower

my other forward reserves are Callinan and Bruest

i know you've said that you cant find both but i personally cant split toy and matera. both very good choices if you ask me and you should probably try and get them both into your team.
if i had to go one, id go toy as i think there are more fwd options.

Marc Murphy vs. Brent Stanton.

Franklin by a stretch...

Who to pick out of Toy/Stanley/Hibberd?

Broughton or Grimes?

I have them both, I think both have upside. Grimes has more upside at the price, but also more risk as he may end up being tagged in a similar way to Enright last year, whereas I doubt Bro will get a tag. Obviously both are injury risks.

Foley V Ward

Boyd and Rioli V Bartel and Franklin

Marc Murphy vs. Brent Stanton.

Murphy. Has had a full pre-season. Could average close to 110 this year.

Stanton's a DT flirt. Always post massive scores in NAB and only manages around 95 in the real thing.

Foley V Ward
Boyd and Rioli V Bartel and Franklin

Bartel and Franklin. Buddy is gonna have a cracker this year I reckon, and there is always question marks over whether Rioli will get solid midfield time. Bartel will be good also, he's cheaper than Boyd and will score around the same.

Ward over Foley for me. Better team, and Foley handballs A LOT.

Here's mine:

J. Kennedy (Syd) vs. L. Anthony

M. Duncan vs. D. Petrie

Disagree. Petrie. Sure he is missing rd 1, but in the scheme of things, it's only one game. He is cheaper than Duncan, and has a certain spot in the 22.

As for McKernan v Darling, I'd choose McKernan - mainly for DPP, but I think he's also closer to a game. I don't know Darling's specific situation but first year KPPs don't generally get much game time and when they do, they don't score particularly well. McKernan is 3rd year

Definitely Volt (Nick)
Pav is older and was starting to show it during the latter half of the year with him playing through niggles.
Not sure what his role will be with Mora, Barlow out of the lineup for long periods. Will he play midfield where his scores are traditionally lower than when he plays forward?
And lastly i'm unsure as to how we'll back up our huge rise last year, with an injury riddled pre season from the team we may only be a top 8 team rather than top 4/2 that everybody seems to be predicting.

Riewoldt is well underpriced for what he can produce, who is a focal point of the Stk gameplan and whos role is definite

Who is the better prospect?
Adcock or Morton (Rich) (position irrelevant)

Personally I don't really see the hype over Morton. Adcock for mine, provided he stays on the park - otherwise neither.
Higgins vs Knights
This really depends on KNights' injury status, which atm isn't great. Higgins isn't a bad pick and generally scores pretty well, but he's about 100k more than Knights am i right?

Bartel vs Judd.

I know in all years previous the choice would be easy but CJ has been on an upward trend and Bartel is still strapping up that elbow from what I saw in the NAB Cup games last week.

I know there's also Boyd and Montagna to consider but I want to avoid having them for the early bye.

So Juddy? Can he get himself to the top line of dreamteam scoring?

Obviously needs to stop having games with less than 30 disposals but with Carlton getting better and really pushing up towards the top4 it could happen.

Coming off a Brownlow year he's gotta be considered.

Thoughts?
