Dow + Venables or Rayner + Barry?
That would be a difference of +10ppg if my arithmetic is correct.Second option for mine
The gap between Zorko and Coniglio is probably 10ppg (110 vs 100)
The gap between Smith and Petracca is probably 10ppg (95 vs 85)
The gap between Rayner and Fristch is probably 10ppg (65 vs 55)
Net result of +20ppg with option 2 I reckon
Fairly sure I am down to my last x/y decision with my side, its a choice of a midfielder and forward
Walters + Rockliff/Cripps/Whitfield (early 700k range)
Robinson + Treloar
Or If I can somehow find 3k in my side
T.Lynch + Steven

Yep it's only 10 on that math, not 20.That would be a difference of +10ppg if my arithmetic is correct.
Considering this myself. If Barry named pick him unless you think he will be straight out for gray.Guys, is it worth upgrading Barry -> Dow, or just keeping the cash for fix up trades in round 3? The rest of my team is set fairly set (if Coffield is named as an emergency I will likely keep him and play one of Doedee/Finalyson/Naughton)

M6 DOW R2 MARTIN
No Coffield if that comes to pass means I don’t want to carry 3 rookies on field in defence. I am thinking of:
Kelly + Coffield
V
Laird + Dow
Severely weakens my midfield but if Laird can average 100, points should be fine.
Josh Kelly? I think I'd go josh kelly and conffield. Naughton seems to have locked his place down. Laird will most likely average what you pay for him I think.

But a non-playing rookie in defence when fielding 3 is rort with danger. I was fine with that formation thinking Coffield would have been a solid D4 to start the year.
Yeah that's completely fair. The way I've combatted this is I've found a way to get conffield up to Byrne whilst maintaining my structure. I really didn't want to lose my M6. Could be an option

I have tentatively gone:
Coffield > Bonner
Rayner > Fogarty
Kruezer > Martin
I really don't like it, but, it is the only thing that I can do without killing my structure. The only other option is taking Kelly to Parker/Coniglio
Waterman goes out when Kennedy comes back in. Not to mention he will be playing fairly deep when playing. I would be avoiding him all together to be honestBonner v Byrne.....for my structure it needs to be one. Both have their pro's and con's.
Which leaves upfront losing Waterman or Ryan - one of those will be changed to a keeper - not sure which one to keep though??? They'll probably average roughly the same but it's more of a roll of the dice for job security.
Cripps Vs Treloar Vs Gibbs
I need some help Keep changing my mind

I have neither, but if I was gonna pick one, go Treloar. Cripps is unproven ever and Gibbs is unproven at his new club. Treloar is definitely the safer of the three.
