I just hoping the Dess follow through in their plan to give Tom Campbell a year.
The guy is a fringe Hall of Famer

What's going on with Jack Gunston?

As a dogs member who goes to all games, I thought Duryea was cooked at the end of last season.

This year however, he has been utterly solid and dependable. Lost a yard of pace, but still can be relied on to do his job.

Plenty of other of Bevo’s ‘faves’ that grind my gears, but not Duryea.
Duryea is a funny one, he has been a bit like that since before we let him go. Would lose a yard and finish the year looking cooked, but then come back the next year become dependable again. Must be incredibly driven, 200 game player now. Unless something goes really wrong next season will play 100 games at both clubs as well. Gotta respect that.

Agreed. When we listed him I thought he was awful. Another example of how little I know…

Duryea does three things right:
1) Willing to play anywhere on the field
2) Willing to accept that he is the 22nd or 23rd player picked and not sook about it
3) Cheap.

Honestly, that is invaluable in the modern high-rotation salary capped game. Extended Zac Tuohy's career by a year or two.

There's a guy who looked all the world to be a 250-game half-back with All-Australian potential, only to fizzle after his first few seasons.

What happened? Was it just injury?
Injuries didn't help, but he was also a bit of a one-trick pony. He didn't offer all that much outside of his kicking.

Somebody at Port Adelaide handed Tom Clurey a three year extension in 2022. He has played one game since and will be listed again in 2025

Rory Atkins has a dadbod. Bit of spare tyre I reckon.
