i feel 18-28 years old is the ages they play i feel when they hit say 28 then they go onto other things in life and retire from the footy.

The girls to me arent in the footy for long and probably just play 3 seasons then go onto other things.

they dont get the $ like then mens too and the girls prefer to be in a career of work to support their life.

Ideally, the ladies have footy as their No. 1 priority.

That's their end goal.

FWIW, former Collingwood player Cecilia McIntosh was all out for 40 years old.

The youngest would be one of the 2002 born players.

There won't be a Keith Bromage or Claude Clough like situation in elite footy again.

Just a brain dump that may or may not have relevance here.

If they’re still playing at a level deserving of an AFLW or VFLW spot, and a club is still willing to give them a spot, I say play on as long as you can. You only have so many years of being an elite-level athlete. You can work at a desk (or on TV) for the rest of your life, why rush it?
