Patricia Heaton found fame playing the role of Debra Barone, the attractive but long suffering and short tempered wife of the titular character Raymond Barone on sitcom 'Everybody Loves Raymond' which ran from 1996-2005. However, the decision as to who would play Debra was a tight choice between Patricia Heaton and attractive blonde actress Jane Sibbett.
Jane Sibbett had previously had a leading role on the largely forgotten sitcom 'Herman's Head' and would find a famous recurring role on 'Friends' for a number of years playing Ross Geller's ex-wife Carol, before Carol, her lesbian partner Susan and Carol and Ross's son Ben inexplicably fade into oblivion after 2001. The role of Carol Geller however was played by another actress in the very early episodes of Friends before being recast to Sibbett. And what was her name? Anita Barone. How freaky is that?

I believe he'd already completed a considerable amount of recording by the time he passed away. Once the decision was made to replace him with Mike Myers, the script was altered significantly, delaying the film's release.Wasn't Chris Farley the No. 1 choice for Shrek before dying?
