Plane is owned by Lindsay Fox/Coulson.
Commonwealth owned planes were promised by Morrison.

You can tell the Commonwealth planes, they have bald tyres that make singing noises when they land.

Hope all the people in the fires vicinity have heeded the advice, leave or have made adequate preparations to stay ( shelter ). Stay safe.

Saw Kirkup was going hard at McGowan in his press conference.

Slammed the WA Government for not implementing all the advice of the CHO with regard to hotel quarantine, not learning from the South Australian lockdown and Victorian Covid inquiry following their quarantine failure about having security guards not working multiple jobs, not changing rules regarding security guards and second jobs until next week, and the long lines outside testing clinics.

Who is this Kirkup?

Mr Cook revealed guards patrolling hotels don’t always need to wear face masks, even when working on floors which have guests infected with coronavirus.

We learnt nothing from Victoria

Ha ha... Such a beat up. Did you watch the presser? It was as cringe worthy as watching Perth-based footy journos try and bait Ross.

Some journo said people had told him they saw security guards at the quarantine hotel without masks. Cook responded saying they didn't need to wear masks in all areas. Like maybe those areas outside where members of the general public can see them and then quickly get on the phone to some journo so he can try and act like a hero at a presser...? Not surprisingly that was all twisted to claim security guards aren't wearing masks at quarantine hotels.

I am all for holding government accountable but journos in WA are so terrible. I know they get paid shit but seriously some 3rd yr Uni student would be better than what we've got atm. Ch7 even cut away from the presser because they were clearly sick of listening to the same dumb questions repeated by their own journos.

Yes it's beyond bad the quality of journalism in this country. So many questions that politicians should be asked but never are

One question that was asked which I thought was a good question, was in relation to in the future, if there’s a single case of community transmission, as has happened here, will the whole of Perth, Peel and Southern keep going into lockdowns?

And the answer was as you'd expect. It would depend on the circumstances. If the guys hadn't gallivanted all over Perth for days then whether a lockdown would be necessary would be interesting.

You are seriously deranged on this topic.

Ok you do nothing, the guy visited a long list of business , saw 151 acquaintance and they saw how many. He did all this while he was positive.
There was know idea how many he might have infected.
Nip it in the bud is the way to go otherwise all of a sudden it's USA or England.
Anyone who begrudges 5 days of not going out to keep the state safe is a selfish prick.

If the cafes aren't open in time for my Sunday breakfast there will be all hell to pay.

Bit rich considering Kirkup can't even keep COVID conspiracy theorists out of his own party.

So EVERY SINGLE TIME there is one case in north Perth, a bar owner in Bunbury loses five days of income? A year 12 student in Mandurah loses five days of school? Families everywhere can't hold proper funerals, weddings or other events? No amateur or professional sport, the list goes on. They'r all selfish pricks apparently. And not just once, but EVERY SINGLE TIME from now on. No other mitigating strategies before shutting everything down? .
Each statement in your reply just proves you have no capacity to assess risk. Zero. Please feel free to carry on but seriously, get a grip.

The little bakery in South Freo does the best take away breakfast .
Coffee and Spanish scrambled egg on a fresh baked brioche bun sitting and eating on South Beach . Heaven.
This lockdown is a lockdown you have when you're not having a lockdown.
Bloody hell The local pet store was open and the better half took the dog in for a trim.:)
The only place shut around where I am is the local pub. The liquor store is open .
Construction on housing is going full steam around here.
Coffee shop is open and the restaurant is open for take away.
Boo hoo some are missing out on the gym or a cricket match.

Everything is not shut down, don't exaggerate.
The only business shut down around here is the pub.
Boo hoo you missed out on your gym or watching a cricket game.
As for funerals it is sad but if Covid gets a hold there will be a lot more funerals without relatives able to go.

The point is though there is a real impact on lots of peoples lives when you shut even some things down. People lose a week of income, businesses that are struggling hard, struggle that extra bit more with no revenue. There are real tangible impacts on peoples lives when you shut some things down that is outside the creature comforts people enjoy like going to a cafe or playing/watching cricket.

Did the Peel region really need to shutdown? Surely not?

Hate to be negative as well but I feel we are heading towards the very difficult situation where COVID is an annual mutating thing like the flu and a new vaccine is needed every year, most of the rest of the world has already given up on fighting it properly. I think I heard this morning that vaccines are only 60% effective against the new strains of the virus. It will be interesting to see where we are at at the end of this year with a lot of the current vaccines handed out.

What about someone who's begrudging anyone who has a problem with their lives going on hold for a week everytime there's a single case? There's no way that's sustainable for the next few years.

So one candidate who got made to resign the second her comments where exposed is equivalent to McGowan ****ing up hotel quarantine and putting the state at risk?
