  • January 30, 2024. The French weekly, Le Journal du Dimanche, publishes the most comprehensive and detailed survey on what French Muslims think. Not surprisingly, the results are disturbing.
  • Every year, Muslims of France [the main French Muslim organization, and the French branch of the Muslim Brotherhood] organizes a conference that attracts hundreds of thousands of Muslims from all over Europe. The group also invites radical imams who speak to the crowd.
  • The survey further showed that 49% of French Muslims want Catholics to convert to Islam, and that 36% percent want churches to be transformed into mosques... The survey also discloses that 25% of French Muslims said that the word "France" is a word they reject.
  • France is a country where more than 70% of prison inmates are Muslim. According to reports, the crime rate among the Muslim population is high.... There are also more than two hundred rapes every day in France, most perpetrated by Muslim men who entered France illegally. Only 7% of illegal immigrants ordered to leave France are ever actually deported
  • A similar situation to that of France can be found in other Western European countries, where the Muslim population may be smaller but is quickly growing.
  • If Europeans wish to avoid such a future and keep their culture, they need to start making that outcome unmistakably clear to everyone, not just by words but by actions. If not, what we are seeing could well mean the end of the European civilization as we know it.

Do you have the actual survey? I'm a bit loath to believe a right-wing US organisation reporting on a French Right-wing paper.
Also the 70% of inmates being muslim is not true from what I can read on the subject. It's much closer to 30%.

Admittingly I clicked on it and struggled to read it, being in French.

As always, you believe what you want to believe. There is no changing that mindset, no matter what information you are provided with.

People who identify and proudly display islamaphobia, don't want to be labelled as islamaphobic by others while calling those same people anti-sematic.

More that government looks after itself to use an issue over actually doing anything direct.

Who would they be? How do they express it? Encampments? Street marches? What are their slogans?

And that's still more social benefit than running as a warm body in the chair for a political party, especially one that will require you to vote with the party no matter what anyway.

It's a pointless exercise.

The right won the primary vote with around the same 33% as Labor in UK and Australia.

Then in the second round in a coordinated attack, Macron dropped around 83 candidates to help the socialist left win seats and they dropped 132 candidates to help Macron, both blocking the right.

Result is chaos will no party with a clear majority and the fragmented socialists left and macron's parties fundamentally disagreeing in many policies and unlikely able to form a coalition and having to wait a year before another election.
 
Islamophobia is a junk word anyway.
A "phobia" is a fear. It comes from the Latin, which is why we have words like Arachnophobia and Agoraphobia.

For many on this forum, criticizing Islam is not a sign of hate or fear - it's simply a horse flicking it's tail at a fly. A horse doesn't hate a fly, nor does it fear it.

If a horse were capable of complex thought, I doubt there would be too many who'd tolerate a fly sitting on its rump simply because others insist the fly has rights. Let alone thousands of them settling on its rump because they feel comfortable being there, given the mandated lack of tail flicking.
In addition to which, I very much doubt a horse would be all that pleased to be told it flicks its tail because it is afraid of the flies.

Language is an integral part of culture.
The mauling of it, either deliberate or as a result of ignorance, is symptomatic of the hypocrisy shown by those who insist we have respect for others, but not for ourselves - or that they do not show for us.

Or horses.

As a proportion of a population of 26 million (and counting) that's a catastrophe! It's war! Arm yourselves, the Nazis are coming!

4,000 demonstrators (insert cause here) destroying police vehicles is nothing by comparison. Don't you understand anything?

This is where domestic politics has hopelessly compromised Albanese. He wants to be the nice guy. Talking about how we all just need to get along in one big beautiful melting pot of multicultural rainbows and butterflies, enjoying the food, music and art of all the cultures. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Was it real?

Appease at all costs. Avoid hard decisions in case you anger and inflame a group that is ripe for it. Not saying any alternative government wouldn’t do the same but Blind Freddie knows appeasement only encourages and enables. He’s there to put put the interests of the nation first, not to please sectarian interests.

This is one of the difficult things on this site - you can compliment a mod but cannot criticise one. While they are vollies and I appreciate what they do, this argument is one that has to go unchallenged due to the mod involvement.

I was called a slur on the last page for liking a post prior about the election results - not the one that has been deleted. It is ridiculous that certain people can label others slurs and nothing happen if they are on one side of politics.
