Captain: Harry
Vice: LDU
Leadership Group: Daniels Larkey Parker Comben Darling

It’s a new era now. Harry can easily do it. LDU in to show him it’s also up to him to help the team improve. The 3 premiership players and the our 2 keys.

Would love for Souva to take over as captain but he sooks to much to have that role.
Parker coming in and captaining is probably the best option but doubt that happens.
Sheez is too young to take over with the side getting walloped so often.
I’d probably let Jy captain on his lonesome for another year

On form, Jy and Luke (especially Luke) are going to struggle to be best 22.

I think it has to be Sheez.

Yeah, he's young. But you can surround him with veterans in the leadership group to mitigate that.

PS... bit of a nitpick but imho pretty piss poor that it seems like neither Jy or Luke were at yesterday's AFLW prelim.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I don't think LDU should be in the leadership group if he hasn't committed to the club long-term yet.
There’s simply no way for you or I to know what sort of conversations are had behind the scenes with LDU.

He’s a north player till he’s not. Until then if he is in the leadership group it should be because he deserves to be.

I’m not 100% it’s his go regardless of contract status.

Agree with your premise and I was all on Sheez till Luke Parker arrived.

He is simply the most credentialed player on our list to lead us.

Clarkson should install him and he should mentor Sheez to be able to take over.

The recruitment of Parker makes it feel like we have a proper adult in the sea of kids on our list.

I think a free agent first year North player cannot be captain. Simply can't.

I don't think it'll happen either.

Think Clarkson will ask his players on who should take over any guesses

When you look at the players on the list there is not a single one more qualified to lead us.

While we go can’t and shouldn’t or anything like that we’ve been shit for 5 seasons and we are wanting this bloke to come in and provide leadership to turn that around.

If that is why we have him I see no reason not to give him the title and authority to do what we brought him in for.

We probably won’t do it.

We absolutely should.

The captaincy can be a huge burden on young shoulders(unless those shoulders belong to W Carey). North have deliberately targeted Luke Parker to provide some of the leadership and seniority that has been sadly missing at North so why wouldn’t we give it to him. Hardly a secret we are deficient in this area.
Parker carrying the captaincy for a couple of years gives our likely lads more time to develop without the additional pressure of official leadership titles which not everybody thrives under.

Sheezel Xerri LDU(vc)

That’s the benefit of co captains. Takes a bit of pressure off

Parker and Sheezel co captains would make sense

And then in a few years we can go to just sheezel
