I think thier current guernsey is top 3 AFL only behind ours and I'll probably get hate for this but the other being GWS for more modern style.

That's a little extreme to what I said. Showdowns only and our club needs to clamp down after this and get an agreement in place with the AFL. I say let them have it.
Only Port home games against Adelaide. Once per year.

No, I know you said only showdowns, but what I can’t understand is why.
The logic of only showdowns fails, because if the reason is that it doesn’t affect us, then that logic applies to all their games except against us.

So why do people only say they are ok with the showdowns, but not any of their other games?
I guess the reason is that they just want to oppose all games, just to piss PA.. Otherwise, can someone explain the logic and valid reason why only showdowns?

They have already ignored the contract they signed. Clause 3 states Port Power will not merchandise black and white products NOR use the Magpie emblem. Its ****ing everywhere at Adelaide oval games. Our current president said he consulted the Collingwood supporters in allowing Port to wear the SA magpies jumper. Im a ****ing member and no one asked me. Was anyone on here asked?

The magpies are our reserves side you can't stop people from buying merch and choosing what they wear to a game.

There is no magpie emblem anymore the club is under the one logo, you are seeing old merch.

I'm OK with showdowns. Port versus Crows is a really bitter rivalry. The bitterness stems back to Port trying to secretly break away to join the AFL. The SANFL finding out about it and becoming furious- and thus the Crows were formed. The Prison Bars are absolutely a part of that. Let Port stick the finger up and rile up the Crows.

We own the B&W stripes in the VFL/AFL.
We can justify the showdowns as a nod to their heritage.
Anything more than that is potentially diluting our brand.

I feel like I've seen a Port reference to it float around here before on the FJGD board, I saved it at one point but must've been lost when I upgraded my PC or so.

I don't think it was the actual contract of course, rather a letter addressed from Port Power referencing a clause in a contract regarding use of black/white & magpie. Could be mistaken as its been so long since I've seen it come up again, hopefully someone has it.

"Tiebreaker game" such a quaint terminology....we call them pre-season or practice matches over here. But by all means, wear what you want in those. Same goes for training....wear what makes you feel comfortable.
