I just can't get my head around it, your organisation is elite.
Mark Williams, I used to hate his guts after he pulled his tie like an arrogant prick in 04.

But after this year he showed what sort of person he is, the faith & confidence he has in others, truly inspirational and the reason why I'll be going for Port next week.

"dont ya wish ya club was hot like ours":D.....Its not amazing........its PORT ADELAIDE........we got invited in to the comp because of our success, it our way, the port way........and Freo will never be able to take a leaf out of our book, because they can never bottle what we have in our "waters". I hate it when people compare our club to Freo......the difference is just amazing, nothing the same, were PORT ADELAIDE.........we started the Rot in Round One!!!

We leave for Melb Friday night.........CYA ALL THERE, LETS HOPE WE GET PUNT ROAD END!!!

I have been following Port Adelaide for 7 years now as a new convert to aussie rules and all I can say is: it may be exaggerated at times, but there is indeed something in that vaunted Port Adelaide tradition and this club will have a big say in the AFL comp for a long long time. Those long suffering Vic clubs keen to learn, can and should learn a bit from Alberton. They are made of sterner stuff down there.

Aahhh well, the tragedy is for Freo is indeed they SHOULD have the same mystique as Port...

East Fremantle is by far the most successful team in WAFL history and both they and South Fremantle have that blue singlet, knuckle dragging, fisticuffs to win warfie attitude just like bloody Port Adelaide.

The fact is that Port had slightly better concessions than the Dockers and also didnt have to deal with the merger of two strong and traditional WAFL club cultures...

...but that all said - I think once the Freo Dockers get the mix right, they will be a power team in the AFL - and with me being an Eagles nut, that is not the most pleasant thought...

I'm pretty sure you're right. The Victorian clubs, particularly Richmond, were pretty keen to screw us and give us nothing.
