But the raw number doesn't tell you anything really. There have been evenupper frees in our defensive 50 that do not have the same value as a free for the oppo 20m out from their goal. So like all stats they are subjective.
Yep would love our team to get the trees inside fifty that oppo teams get. Now there is a stat that would be interesting.

We have a promising young list, I hope when Ken leaves a top new coach sees the potential

Yeah how dare the ump give us a free in front of goal. Freo dummies.

People laugh but it's not funny. I've been to enough WA games to know what happens from there and predicted it in the moment. The crowd were outraged for a full minute or two and it fueled their outrage for the rest of the game. This gave the umpires the impression that Freo were getting hard done by (the opposite was true), further entrenching their favouritism. We got I think 1 or 2 more frees for the game.

Rubbish. They've beaten GWS and Collingwood away and sit 6th on the ladder. We were beaten by a strong team. The way we lost was the irritating part (ie limp dick scoreless final quarter).

Someone posted weeks ago Hinkley had the scoreless quarter record 46 and there’s been two more since. I’d love to know if that was true or not.

6.5 a season on average

How come it doesn’t work for us? All we get is the Bronx cheer free when it’s too late

Bald headed FLOG. Oops not allowed to say that anymore might cry. Boo hoo flog.

Rubbish nothing. They've lost to the Gold Coast, beat the Saints by 5 points, only kicked 5 goals against the Crows and lost to Essendon. Theyre inconsistent, not strong.

They’re doing better than us!

They'll definitely make the finals, probably win a final and possibly make the top 4.

Losing to them is no shame. The last quarter fade out was the shame.

They're not a top 4 team. They're around the same mark as we are, or should be if we had any direction whatsoever.

I disagree. They're a team on the up that are difficult to beat defensively but also have an arsenal of attacking weapons.

Fyfe and Mundy strong inside mids. Walters and the Hill brothers class and finish on the outside. Lots of options forward - Hogan, Cox, McCarthy, Taberner (inj), Lobb (inj). Matera a dangerous and in form goal sneak.

We're vanilla and ho hum by comparison.

The Collingwood 1st quarter and the Freo 4th quarter are similar but different.

Collingwood are way better than us, but to get smashed from the get-go and be down 50 points straight away was disappointing.

With Freo, they are slightly better than us but we pretty much shot ourselves in the foot in the last quarter. Just a competent forward line set-up instead of making Farrell our KPF in a near empty forward line could have made the game a lot more interesting. Also the crap kicks from our defenders cost us dearly too.

Maybe I just have higher expectations. I believe we're capable of a lot more and have enough talent on our list.

If we're not on level terms with Fremantle of all clubs, then who are we on level terms with?

Yeah, I don't see it the same way. I think our list is average, poorly balanced in terms of age demographics and lacks skill and outside class (maybe something to do with what we did in last year's trade period ...).

I see us on the level of Hawthorn and North Melbourne - winning our 10-11 games, managing a list transition after a period of contending (or failing to contend on our part).
