The fact we are relying on him still is extremely disturbing, look at recent premiership sides absolute gun forwards (Hawkins Cameron Lynch Riewoldt etc) we are nowhere near it.

His ball use is miles better than Burgoyne Byrne-Jone etc
I’m not sure tuning up against the worst ball movement team in the league without their 2 best tall forwards and 16 days from round 1 is a great measure of anything.
Key defenders looking good although like most I had really hoped with that stability down back would come a more modern game plan. Press is still too high and the bomb to Dixon and lock it in offence which didn’t work in his prime is embarrassing when the big Chuck can’t get up a gallop.
Some of our 18-25th best players from last year have clearly improved. Farrell, McEntee and Meade all having good games.
