MELBOURNE midfielder Liv Purcell is expected to be sidelined for a significant chunk of this year's AFLW season, having suffered a series of nasty facial fractures during a practice match defeat to Port Adelaide on Sunday.
Just caught up on this. Sachi Syme is coming with a rush. Took some steps last season and looks bigger and better and ready to go again this season. I've got my money on her as our most improved.
Molly Brooksby is very skilful. She can kick really well on both of her feet.
Piper Window has an unusual kicking action
Caitlin Wendlend gave us plenty at half-forward
Kirsty Lamb will bolster our midfield. She'll be good at getting the ball and then dishing it out to the likes of Abbey Dowrick etc.
I liked Olivia Levicki's game. She was really able to help out Matilda Scholz in the ruck and was able to drift back and take some important marks. One of our most important players IMO. If Scholz ever goes down then we will badly need her.
Like a couple of others have already mentioned, Sachi Syme looks to have improved. Kicked a good goal after showing ferocious attack on the footy.
Teagan Germech had a fair presence down back. Looks to be a handy replacement for Hannah Dunn.
Cheyenne Hammond was a whipping girl in our first season but she looks to have continued her improvement from last year.
